The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 price in Nepal is Rs. 1,39,999 (12/256GB). Previously, the phone was priced at Rs. 1,59,999. The phone is available at Samsung-authorized stores in Nepal.

The phone is also available at 0% EMI through Insta Finance with up to 18 months tenure. While all the pre-booking offers have expired, Samsung is still bundling a FREE Silicone Case worth Rs. 5,499 with their flippy phone.

Samsung held its Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris on July 10. The company unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, along with a bunch of wearables including the Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Ring.

In this article, we will focus on the Galaxy Flip 6, the successor of the popular foldable Galaxy Flip 5. The phone brings a new 50MP main camera, a faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a bigger 4000mAh battery, and an improved hinge and durability.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Overview

Design

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 looks very similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. You may not even be able to tell them apart if it were not for the new camera ring finish. The main and ultrawide camera rings’ colors now match the color of the device.

Additionally, the phone’s sides are now sanded for a matte look. Apart from that, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 remains the same compact, clamshell foldable device from Samsung. Even the outer display has the same shape and size as before, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Samsung says the new Armor Aluminum frame of the Galaxy Z series is more durable than before. Furthermore, the phone is now IP48-rated, an improvement over the IPX8. However, it is still not dust-resistant and only water-resistant.

Display

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has two displays: the main foldable screen inside and the cover screen on the outside. The displays are pretty much the same.

The cover display is a 3.4-inch, 60Hz Super AMOLED screen with a 720 x 748 pixels resolution. The foldable main display is an LTPO Full HD+ AMOLED screen with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.

The peak brightness of the main display has improved from 1600 nits to 2600 nits.

Hardware

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 comes equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Samsung calls it the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, which is tuned for Samsung devices, like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

For the first time, the Galaxy Z Flip gets a vapor chamber for cooling the system. The RAM has also jumped to 12GB, up from 8GB to better handle all its newfound AI capabilities. The storage variants are the same: 256GB and 512GB, but only the 256GB variant is available In Nepal.

Camera

There is a new 50MP main camera on the Z Flip 6, replacing the 12MP one from the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The new 50MP sensor supports 2x optical zoom and AI zoom up to 10x. The 12MP ultrawide camera remains the same.

With the Flip 6, you can use the rear cameras to take selfies as well. If you need to unfold the phone, you can use the 10MP selfie camera, which is the same as last year.

Battery and OS

Samsung has managed to put a larger 4000mAh battery in the Z Flip 6, which should improve its battery life. As for charging, it still supports 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

In terms of software, the Z Flip 6 runs on Android 14 topped with One UI 6. Samsung promises to provide seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.

It’s 2024 and there are new AI features. The Galaxy AI features include Circle to Search, Suggested Replies, Live Translate, Transcript Assist, and more. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 best uses the Interpreter feature, utilising its unique form factor.

The latest Google Gemini app is fully integrated into the new Galaxy Z series, providing your own AI-powered assistant right on your phone. By simply swiping the corner of the screen or saying, “Hey Google”, you can bring up Gemini’s overlay and get help with writing, learning, or planning.
