Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic with Rotating Bezel Launched in Nepal

Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in Nepal during the Galaxy Unpacked event held on August 13, 2023, in Kathmandu. It was announced by Samsung Global on July 26 of 2023 in Korea where they also unveiled the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.

With the Watch 6 Classic, they also announced the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6.

We’ll talk about the Watch 6 Classic in this article and dedicate another one to the Watch 6. Although there are two sizes of the watch: 43mm and 47mm, only the latter is available in Nepal. Let’s look at what this premium smartwatch has to offer.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Overview

Design and Display

The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic features a timeless design and brings an old-school look to the watch. The rotating bezel makes its way back to this watch and adds a tactile touch alongside it.

The watch is IP68 rated and is MIL-STD-810H certified. The display is protected by sapphire crystal and you can swap the Hybrid Eco-Leather strap with a single click.

Hardware

The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is also powered by the Exynos W930 (5 nm) (Dual-core 1.4GHz Cortex-A55) like the Watch 6, which is 18% faster than last gen and has the Mali-G68 for GPU.

Furthermore, it also features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

Health and Features

You can track your workouts with the Watch 6 Classic and it also features advanced sleep tracking to understand and improve your sleeping habits.

You can use the rotating bezel to scroll through the different modes on the watch and it also features custom faces to elevate your style. The watch also detects falls and sends an SOS notification to your emergency contact if you need help.

Additionally, just as the Watch 6 does, you get more health features like Advanced Sleep Coaching, ECG / Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification, Personalized Heart Rate Zones, BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis), Skin Temperature / Cycle Tracking, and Blood Oxygen with the Watch 6 Classic.

Software

The Watch 6 Classic comes with Wear OS 4 and Samsung’s One UI Watch 5.

You can sync your watch to the Samsung Health app to get stats on your phone. The watch also has the ability to call, text, and play music from your wrist.

Connectivity and Battery

The smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5.3 and dual-band Wi-Fi 5 for connectivity. It also has NFC support and built-in GNSS support, including GPS, Glonass, BDS, and Galileo.

In the battery department, the watch comes with either a 300mAh or 420mAh battery depending on the variant, and you can get up to 45% charge in 30mins.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic price in Nepal is Rs. 64,999 (47mm). It is available for purchase at Samsung stores across the country.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is a premium smartwatch offering from Samsung and is suitable for those who prefer a more classic-looking watch. It features a rotating bezel for easier cycling through the watch.

The Classic 6 features a Stainless steel body and the straps are made of Hybrid Eco-leather instead of the more common sports band on the Galaxy Watch 6.

Other than that, it is pretty similar to the Watch 6 in other features like processor, storage, sensors, and battery.
