Unlike Samsung’s budget smartphone lineup, its flagship devices have consistently delivered powerful hardware and a premium user experience. They tend to justify their price with meaningful upgrades and performance that actually feels high-end.

So the question is: Does this year’s flagship tablet continue that streak? Let’s find out.

If you look at Samsung’s tablet lineup from the previous generation, things were a bit… messy. We got the Tab S10 FE, S10 Lite, S10+, S10 FE+, and, of course, the Ultra, but there was never a standard Galaxy Tab S10. So technically, the Galaxy Tab S11 is the true successor to the Galaxy Tab S9, which launched all the way back in 2023.

And since it’s been over two years, expectations for upgrades are understandably high. A proper generational leap should be on the table, whether that’s in performance, design, display tech, or software experience.

So, how much has really changed with the base model? Let’s jump into the overview to find out.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Overview

The Galaxy Tab S11 sticks to Samsung’s familiar design language. You’re getting that premium aluminum build once again. But this time, the tablet is noticeably slimmer, just 5.5mm, which is 0.4mm thinner than the Tab S9. In fact, it’s even slimmer than the Galaxy S25 Edge launched earlier this year.

Samsung is also including the S Pen in the box, as always. But unlike the Tab S9 and S10 series, where it magnetically attached to the back, the S Pen on the Tab S11 now snaps onto the side frame, which should feel a bit more convenient.

Coming to the display, the Tab S11 uses the same panel as the Tab S9 and the S11 Ultra. It’s a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, so you’re definitely getting a high-quality visual experience. This is a QHD+ panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is typical for an 11-inch tablet.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chipset, the same flagship chip used on the S11 Ultra, so performance should be top-tier. It comes with 12GB RAM and storage options of 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB, though Nepal will only receive the 256GB variant.

Surprisingly, Samsung has kept the microSD card slot, supporting up to 2TB expandability, which is great to see on a flagship device.

As for cameras, there’s nothing too flashy here. You get a 13MP rear camera and a 12MP ultrawide front camera. Clearly, the setup is more geared toward video calls and meetings rather than photography.

The 8,400mAh battery remains unchanged from the Tab S9, with support for 45W fast charging. On the software side, the Tab S11 ships with One UI 8 based on Android 16, and, like Samsung’s latest flagships, it promises an impressive 7 years of OS updates.
