Limited Time Offer: Cashback on Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in Nepal

Samsung unveiled its flagship for the year 2023, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The S23 Ultra was made official along with the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ in Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event held on 1st February 2023.

You can receive cashback on selected S23 Ultra variants for a limited period in Nepal. The phone comes in 4 configurations that start from 256GB – 8/256GB, 12/256GB, 12/512GB, and 12/1TB. The cashback is available for 12/256GB and 12/512GB models.

The S23 Ultra is probably the least obvious upgrade in the history of Samsung flagship phones. It looks like the S23 Ultra is almost identical to the S22 Ultra but that’s not the case.

So, let’s take a look at the design, specs, and features of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in brief.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Overview

Design

This is the first time that Samsung’s flagship has not received a design change from the previous iteration. It has the same design as the Samsung S22 Ultra.

It comes in three new colors: Green, Lavender, and Cream. You still get the old Phantom Black color option as well. Except for the new colors, S23 Ultra gets upgraded Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the front and back.

Likewise, Samsung brings the same Armor Aluminum frame that we saw on the S22 Ultra and it comes with IP68 dust and water resistance. The built-in Spen stylus is also unchanged.

Display

The display also remains the same in terms of hardware. It is the same 6.8-inch Dynamic ALMOED 2X panel with a screen resolution of 1440×3088 pixels.

The peak brightness remains the same at 1750 nits and the display can adaptively refresh from 1Hz to 120Hz.

It does get an addition in terms of software though. The smarter Vision Booster can adjust the color tone and contrast of the display under three different lighting conditions.

Hardware

This time around Samsung has decided to only use the Snapdragon chipset in their flagship phone. Not only that, the Galaxy S23 Ultra runs a custom-tuned Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the S23 Ultra has a Cortex-X3 core (Prime core), running up to 3.36GHz, up from the usual maximum 3.2GHz. Similarly, the Adreno 740 GPU is clocked at 719MHz instead of 680MHz.

As it is a custom-tailored version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Samsung’s flagship phone, Samsung calls it Snapdargon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy.

As for RAM and Storage, it comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage in Nepal.

Camera

The other noticeable improvement is the main camera sensor. It is using Samsung’s own 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor. This sensor is adaptive in the sense that it can combine 16 pixels into 1 for a 12MP final resolution with a 2.4µm pixel size. Or it can combine 4 pixels into 1 that gives you a 50MP shot.

The other camera sensors remain the same with two telephoto lenses: a 10MP periscope lens with 10X optical zoom and 10MP telephoto with 3X optical zoom. And lastly, it has a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera with autofocus.

The front camera has been dropped from 50MP to 12MP but it is supposed to give better outputs.

While the S22 Ultra was limited to 8K 24fps video recording but the S23 Ultra can record at smoother 30fps with wider FOV.

The S23 Ultra also brings a new Astro Hyperlase video mode. The new 200MP sensor has improved video stabilization thanks to Adaptive VDIS which analyzes and subdivides movements and recognizes lighting conditions. Likewise, the new sensor has a 2x wider OIS angle that compensates for around 3° compared to the 1.5° of the S22 Ultra.

Battery and Others

The battery capacity of the Galaxy S23 Ultra remains the same as S22 Ultra at 5000mAh with the same 45W max charging speed. Samsung claims that S23 Ultra can reach 65% within 30 mins with the supported 45W charger.

Moreover, it comes with Samsung’s latest One UI 5.1 on top of Android 13. As expected, Samsung will provide at least 4 years of Android updates.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Price in Nepal and Availability

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra price in Nepal is Rs. 1,79,999 for the 12/256GB variant and Rs. 1,89,999 for the 12/512GB variant, but this is with a limited-time cashback offer.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra might look exactly the same as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra but it brings improvements in terms of camera and processing power.
