Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 with New Design Launched in Nepal

Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Watch series, which receives yearly updates and launches, the Galaxy Fit series’ last wearable, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 2, was launched way back in 2020. Now, Samsung has finally refreshed the Fit series of wearables with the launch of the Galaxy Fit 3.

The Galaxy Fit 3 comes with a slew of upgrades and functionalities when compared to its predecessor. The watch now comes in a new form factor and is made from much more durable and premium materials.

The functionality has also been expanded to control media playback and track more forms of activities. Additionally, the Galaxy Fit 3 incorporates safety features like fall detection and emergency SOS. Below are the specifications and features of the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3.

Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 Overview

Design and Display

Design-wise, the Galaxy Fit 3 has seen a significant improvement from its predecessor. The Galaxy Fit 3 now comes with an aluminum frame instead of a polycarbonate frame. This makes the device more durable and also gives it a more premium feel.

There is also a physical button on the side of the Galaxy Fit 3 for navigation instead of a capacitive button. The wrist straps are made of silicone and the buckle is made out of plastic.

The display of the Fit 3 has grown to 1.6 inches from the Fit 2’s 1.1-inch screen, offering sharper visuals and more information. Spec-wise, the display is an AMOLED panel that has a resolution of 256 x 402 pixels.

The smartwatch is certified IP68 dust and water-resistant and 5ATM and comes in three colors: Gray, Silver and Pink Gold.

Health and Features

The Fit 3 has also seen many improvements in the health and fitness aspect. The Galaxy Fit 3 can now track over 100 different types of sports activities.

With the addition of a new barometer sensor, the watch can detect when you’ve fallen down and inquire whether you need emergency services or not. To manually initiate SOS, you can press the side button 5 times and call emergency services.

The Fit 3 is also capable of controlling media, showing incoming notifications and receiving/hanging up calls when tethered to your smartphone. The watch can also help find your smartphone with the ‘Find My Phone’ feature.

The Galaxy Fit 3 can also be personalized with custom watch faces. You can either select the face from a variety of pre-loaded designs or upload your own from the Galaxy Wearable app.

Connectivity and Battery

The Galaxy Fit 3 has the latest Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. Sadly, the device does not come with GPS, NFC or Wi-Fi connectivity and relies on your smartphone for location tracking functionalities.

The Galaxy Fit 3 comes with a 208mAh battery that Samsung claims can last up to 13 days on a single charge. To charge this device, Samsung provides a proprietary magnetic thimble.
