The Redmi Note series from Xiaomi has long been a favorite in the budget and mid-range smartphone market. And now, Xiaomi’s latest lineup: the Redmi Note 15 4G, Redmi Note 15 5G, Note 15 Pro, and the flagship of the family, the Note 15 Pro+, is here, ready to dominate 2026! Today, we’re diving into the Redmi Note 15 Pro+.

As the most premium model in the Note 15 lineup, the Note 15 Pro+ packs the most power, features, and performance. But the big question is, does it really justify its price tag? Well, let’s find out.
What is the Price of Redmi Note 15 Pro+ in Nepal?
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ price in Nepal is Rs. 59,999 (8/256GB) and Rs. 66,999 (12/512GB). The phone is available to purchase at all Xiaomi-authorized stores across Nepal. You can get the Redmi Buds 8 Lite at just Rs. 1,999 (actual price: Rs. 3,999) if you buy the phone by February 14, 2026.
Now, that pricing might seem a little steep at first glance. But with the US dollar continuing to rise and the ongoing AI boom driving up RAM and storage costs, smartphone components are becoming more expensive across the board.
As a result, we can expect a 10–20% price increase across all smartphones this year. Xiaomi, being the first brand to launch its latest smartphones in Nepal this year, will unfortunately have to be the first to face public scrutiny.
The Pro+ lineup in the Redmi Note series has historically offered the best performance and value in its segment. In fact, last year we even ranked the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ as the best mid-range phone of 2024. Naturally, I had similar hopes for the Note 14 Pro+.
But as the year went on, things didn’t go quite as planned. The Nothing Phone (3a) took the lead in camera performance, while phones like the Infinix GT 30 and OnePlus Nord CE 5 outperformed it in raw power and overall performance.
So now the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ has some serious expectations to live up to. It needs meaningful upgrades over the 14 Pro+ if it wants to reclaim the top spot in the mid-range game.
But does it deliver? Let’s dive in and find out.
Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Overview
Looks-wise, Xiaomi has made the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ almost identical to its predecessor, the Note 14 Pro+, especially with that same squircle camera module. The only, and arguably the biggest, design shift is the removal of curves.
Now, it’s not that the phone has gone completely flat. There’s still a very subtle curve on both the front and the back, but the frame itself is fully flat this time around. And yes, Redmi is also talking up the IP66/68/69/69K rating, which is a solid durability upgrade. In addition, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Up front, the display sees a noticeable improvement. Compared to last year, the Note 15 Pro+ gets a 0.16-inch bump, bringing the screen size to a massive 6.83 inches. This firmly places it in big-phone territory.
Initially, the larger panel raised concerns about pixel density, but Redmi has managed to maintain a sharp 447 PPI, which is essentially the same as last year. This also means the resolution has increased slightly while still staying within that familiar 1.5K resolution bracket.
On top of that, all Redmi Note 15 series phones, including the Pro+, get brightness and eye-care upgrades. Peak brightness now goes up to 3,200 nits, and PWM dimming has been improved to 3,840Hz, which should help reduce eye strain during low-light usage.

Under the hood, the processor moves up a generation, from the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 to the newer 7s Gen 4. However, the performance jump doesn’t seem all that significant.

In terms of memory and storage, Redmi seems to be sticking to the same formula as before, with 8GB or 12GB RAM options paired with 256GB or 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. This is a bit of a letdown, considering competitors like the Nord CE 5 offer UFS 3.1, while the Infinix GT 30 Pro goes all the way up to UFS 4.0.
Camera-wise, the Note 15 Pro+ follows the rest of the Note 15 series. The macro lens is gone, leaving a 200MP main camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor. Once again, the 50MP telephoto lens found on the Chinese variant is missing here, which is disappointing.
On the bright side, the front camera gets an upgrade to a 32MP selfie sensor. It’s also technically a larger sensor, so it should capture more light and deliver improved image quality.
Finally, the battery sees a massive upgrade. Capacity jumps from 5,110mAh to a huge 6,500mAh Si/C battery. Charging speed, however, takes a slight hit, dropping from 120W to 100W. Dropping the charging speed might seem a little counterintuitive, but 100W is still hyper fast and well ahead of what most rivals offer in this segment, so it doesn’t really matter much.

At first glance, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ looks like a step forward, but only slightly. The upgrades are there, yet they feel more like fine-tuning than real progress. With rivals offering more exciting features at similar prices, this phone finds it hard to truly stand out.
Furthermore, this phone is done dirty by the current situation. As it stands, the 512GB variant of this phone is more expensive than the Xiaomi 15T, which is leagues better than this phone.
As time passes, all phones are expected to rise in price, so the future will be much kinder to the Redmi Note 15 Pro+. However, at this moment in time, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is in a very awkward position.
