Realme 9i 5G with Laser Light Design Launched in Nepal

Realme is not finished with its Realme 9 series of smartphones. Today, it has launched the new Realme 9i 5G in Nepal.

The Realme 9i 5G is the 5G variant of the Realme 9i 4G, launched in February 2022 in Nepal. The phone is powered by Dimensity 810 chipset, enabling the device to have 5G capability.

The Realme 9i 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 29,999 for the 6/128GB variant. You can buy the phone from the nearest mobile store and major e-commerce sites.

Realme 9i 5G Overview

Design

The Realme 9i 5G has a shiny, glittery design with its “Laser Light Design” that is inspired by CD (compact disc). It is made of polycarbonate, and the top left of the rear features a flash and three camera circles.

The device is available in two colours, namely Rocking Black and Metallica Gold. Similar to its 4G counterpart, it has a power button on the right side, which also serves as a fingerprint sensor.

The volume buttons are on the left, while the 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB-C port, and speaker are on the bottom side. Sadly, it just has one speaker, as opposed to the stereo speakers in the 4G version.

Display

The phone has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution. The display supports up to 90Hz refresh rate.

These are the same display specs as the Realme 9i 4G, but there is one thing that’s downgraded. It comes with a dated waterdrop notch instead of a punch hole for the selfie camera.

Hardware

Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, which is built on TSMC’s 6nm technology.

It has two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores at up to 2.4GHz and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores with up to 2.0GHz clock speed. Furthermore, it has an integrated 5G model and Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The SoC is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It has a dedicated microSD card slot, allowing users to expand its storage.

Camera

The Realme 9i 5G has a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera. The other two cameras are a macro camera and a portrait camera with a 50.0-degree FoV. Their megapixel counts are not disclosed.

The front has an 8MP camera selfie camera. The 4G variant had a 16MP front camera.

Battery and Software

The phone comes with a 5000mAh battery. It supports 18W fast charging, which is another downgrade from Realme 9i 4G’s 33W.

In terms of software, the device runs on Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12.

The Realme 9i 5G is a 5G variant of the Realme 9i. Other than the chipset, it offers no upgrades.

Instead, it features an outdated waterdrop notch design, just one speaker (compared to the 4G variant’s dual speakers), an 8MP selfie camera (as opposed to the 4G variant’s 16MP camera), and just 18-watt fast charging support (4G variant supports 33W).
