Nokia 8.2 With Pop-Up Camera & Snapdragon 735 Expected to Launch at MWC 2020

The revival flame for Nokia was lit when the company decided to reveal their new generation Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 at the IFA 2019. After that, Nokia has slowly been moving forward in its own pace dropping subtle hints at what their next move might be. Just recently, Nokia alongside Qualcomm hinted that they were working to bring an affordable 5G based phone in the market.

Well, it seems like that phone is going to be Nokia 8.2. The rumored phone is now expected to launch at the largest mobile conference aka, the MWC 2020. Earlier, there were reports indicating that there will be 4G as well as 5G variants for Nokia 8.2. But as of now, NokiaPowerUser- a well known Nokia blog, has contradicted the reports by saying that there will only be 5G variants for the Nokia 8.2.

Nokia 8.2 “Leaked” Specifications

As per the most recent rumors, the Nokia 8.2 could be powered by the Snapdragon 735 chipset. The Snapdragon 735 chipset has been leaked a couple of times and is known to be coming with an integrated 5G modem. The processor is also likely to be placed alongside an 8GB RAM configuration with internal storage topping at 256GB.

As per another leak from leakster, the phone will have a 32MP pop-up camera, and Android Q right out of the box! The pop-up camera mechanism hints at the fact that this device will have a completely Bezel-less display. About the display itself, I don’t think it’s worth-the-money kind. The phone will be featuring a 6.3” IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution.

The camera on the phone seems to be quite nice as well. Even though the specs aren’t confirmed yet, there are other reports that indicate a 64MP primary camera with Zeiss optics. Will there be a quad array of cameras? Well, we don’t know yet. Other than the 64MP camera, we only know that there’ll be a 32MP pop-up camera at the front.

Finally, the phone is expected to feature a 4000mAh battery with fast charging.

Nokia 8.2 Thoughts, Availability, and Pricing

The Nokia 8.2 from Nokia does seem like a real killer. Well, I admit as of now, the display doesn’t look all that premium but everything else looks promising. Not much can be said about the performance but considering its 5G capabilities, I think it’s going to be a power-packed performer.

So, as mentioned earlier, the phone is expected to be seen at the MWC 2020. Keeping that thought in mind, I’d say the phone will probably take around 3 months to arrive in the market. About the pricing, I’d say around Rs 70k for the 8/256GB model is most feasible.
