MWC Air Buds Mini 2 with 10mm Drivers Launched in Nepal at a Discounted Price

MWC, short for Mobile World Capital, is a Kathmandu-based physical retail store that sells mobile phones and accessories. The store recently launched its new wireless earbuds, the MWC Air Buds Mini 2, in the Nepalese market.

The MWC Air Buds Mini 2 comes as another budget-oriented TWS earbud. The case has an oval-shaped matte plastic body while the earbuds have an in-ear design. The buds feature 10mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity, and a claimed continuous playback of 6.5 hours.

MWC Air Buds Mini 2 Overview

Design

The MWC Air Buds Mini 2 earbuds don’t have any stand-out features and the only thing differentiating this from any other generic TWS earbuds is the logo featured prominently on the front.

The case of the Airbuds Mini 2 is a pebble-like oval-shaped housing made out of matte finish polycarbonate plastic. On the front, below the logo, are the battery LED indicators. The USB-C port resides on the bottom and you’ll find a lanyard loop on the right side of the earbud case.

The earbuds come in a dual-finish body with the stems made of shiny metallic-finish plastic and the driver housing made of matte plastic. The earbuds come with silicone ear tips for a secure fit and noise isolation.

The Air Buds Mini 2 also features a status LED along with the MWC logo on the stems. Also, the earbuds are certified IPX4 water, dust, and sweat resistant.

Features

Feature-wise, the MWC Air Buds Mini 2 does not come with anything beyond the standard and has features that can be found on other earbuds in the same price range.

The earbuds come with your basic bread-and-butter functions like touch controls, voice assistant, and call receiving/declining.

Being a budget-oriented product, the earbuds have 10mm dynamic audio drivers that produce respectable sound quality with enough instrument separation and decent loudness. Not our final verdict though!

Additionally, the earbuds have a gaming mode, which can be turned on by tapping the earbuds four times. MWC claims the gaming mode has a latency of just 35ms.

One neat thing about these earbuds is the inclusion of accessories such as a silicone case, a lanyard loop, and a carabiner in the box.

Battery and Connectivity

To connect to your device and play music, the MWC Air Buds Mini 2 uses Bluetooth 5.3. Once you open the case lid, the earbuds automatically go into pairing mode and search for devices to connect with. The buds are compatible with Android, iOS as well as Windows devices.

The MWC Air Buds Mini 2 comes with a 300mAh case battery and a 30mAh earbud battery. MWC claims the earbuds can provide continuous playback of up to 6.5 hours and a combined playback of up to 50 hours.
