Motorola Moto G64 Overview
Design
The Moto G64 sticks to Motorola’s familiar premium design language, with a rectangular dual-camera module that blends right in with the rest of the lineup.
While the plastic frame and back may feel a bit cheap in hand, the uniform design keeps it from looking that way. At over 9mm thick, it’s definitely on the chunkier side.
Down at the bottom, you’ll find a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port, and speaker grille. Motorola calls it a “water-repellant design,” which is essentially IP52 splash resistance.
The G64 is available in colors like Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green, and Viva Magenta.

Display
The Moto G64 features a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS screen at 120Hz refresh rate with 2400 x 1080 pixels, offering a smooth and crisp display. However, at this price point, competitors like the Redmi Note 14 and Galaxy A16 already boast AMOLED panels with deeper blacks and more vibrant colors.
Motorola also hasn’t mentioned any kind of display protection. With no word on Gorilla Glass or scratch resistance, slapping on a screen protector is definitely a smart move.
Hardware
Powering the Moto G64 is the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset, paired with the IMG BXM-8-256 GPU—the same combo found in the Redmi Note 14. So, you can expect similar performance.
The Moto G64 comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage in the base variant, while a higher-end option offers 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
For additional space, you can expand it up to 1TB via microSD—but keep in mind, it’s a hybrid slot, so you’ll have to choose between a second SIM or extra storage.
Camera
The Moto G64 features a dual-camera setup on the back, with a 50MP primary sensor that is capable of shooting 1080p footage at 30fps and a secondary 8MP camera for ultra-wide shots.
Given the price, there’s little to complain about. However, a macro lens feels like a missed opportunity, especially since Moto G64’s rival, the Redmi Note 14, offers both ultra-wide and macro lenses in the same price bracket
The 16MP front camera is ideal for selfies and video calls and can also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps.
Battery and OS
The Moto G64 packs a hefty 6,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. That massive battery is likely what contributes to the phone’s slightly chunky build.
On the software front, it runs Android 14 out of the box, with a promised upgrade to Android 15 and 3 years of security updates—decent, but not class-leading. If battery life is your top priority, this phone won’t let you down.

8/128GB | Rs. 27,499 |
12/256GB | Rs. 30,999 |
The Moto G64 stands out as a compelling choice in the budget segment with its smooth 120Hz display and capable Dimensity 7025 chipset. However, the lack of an AMOLED panel, display protection, and a macro lens gives rivals a noticeable edge.
