The Iconic MacBook air has been one of the most beloved laptops all over the world since the day Steve Jobs took it out of an envelope. Its build quality was exceptional, it was extremely thin and light for the time. Since then, several manufacturers have tried to create a similar product to compete with Apple’s offering. But none have quite succeeded in accumulating the same amount of love that MacBook Air did.
However, it looked like Apple was tired of its own success. Apple didn’t update the MacBook air for 2 years from 2015 until mid-2017. The update in mid-2017 was not a significant one either. While all the other laptops like Apple’s MacBook Pro were getting 7th Gen Intel Core processors, Apple fitted the Air with 5th Gen processors with slightly higher clock speed than the ones that they used in 2015! The screen of the MacBook air was so outdated that windows machines that cost a third of its price looked better.
But in 2018, the Macbook air finally got a refresh. And, Apple fixed most of the gripes consumers had with the previous model of air but in a very Apple way.

They updated the screen to Retina Display and updated the processors to 8th gen one. But the processors are Y series processors that are not as powerful as the ones found on the MacBook Pro. Also, Apple completely removed any USB type-A port and replaced them with USB Type C thunderbolt port. But, the most controversial move was to update the Air’s keyboard to the new ‘butterfly’ mechanism. This means flatter and clickier keys. The starting price has also been significantly increased.
So, in a nutshell, the Macbook air is nothing like the Macbook air you know from the past. They are kind of like the 13-inch version of the smaller MacBook that Apple sells. However, if you feel like that’s what you want then the new MacBook Air has come to Olizstore. It starts at Rs. 168000 for 128GB SSD model and goes all the way up to Rs. 196000 for 256GB SSD model.
