The Kathmandu Metropolitan City is now willing to provide free internet facility at major touristic places of Kathmandu.
Both the local as well as international tourists can use this internet facility, free of cost starting at Swayambhunath Stupa, Hanumandhoka Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple and Balaju Park.
As per the KMC co-spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal, Tenders have already been called for the installation of internet services at these popular tourist destinations.
Dhakal further made it clear that incurring the cost for the service would be maintained by the entrance fees that tourists pay.
Earlier, the facility of free internet was initiated at Ratnapark.
With the installation of free internet service at Ratnapark, the collection of KMC has been doubled. Previously the collection summed up to Rs. 5 million.
