Huawei MateBook 14 2021 Launched with 3:2 2K IPS Display in Nepal

Huawei today launched its lightweight Huawei MateBook 14 2021 notebook in Nepal.

The Huawei MateBook 14 2021 price in Nepal is Rs. 1,48,990. It is available online through Daraz or at Huawei authorized stores across Nepal.

Along with the MateBook 14, the company also debuted Huawei MateBook D 15 today. In this article, we will discuss the specifications and features of the Huawei MateBook 14 2021.

Huawei MateBook 14 2021 Overview

Design

The Huawei MateBook 14 2021 is made primarily of metal and features chamfered edges. The laptop’s outer lid is fairly clean, with the exception of the Huawei logo in the center.

It’s a slim and lightweight notebook, weighing just 1.49kg and measuring just 15.9mm thick, which should make it easier to travel with. The laptop is available in only Space Gray colour.

Moreover, the right side of the device features two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1. And on the left, there is a USB-C (DisplayPort), a 3.5mm audio jack, and an HDMI port. For convenience and security, a fingerprint sensor is given on the power button.

Display

The laptop flaunts a 14-inch IPS 2160 x 1440 px display with narrow bezels. The display has a taller (in contrast to the traditional 16:9) 3:2 aspect ratio and a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

It covers 100% sRGB colour space and features a 1500:1 contrast ratio with a maximum brightness of 300nits. There was also an option to get a touchscreen model that supports 10-point multi-touch. However, it’s not available in Nepal.

Hardware

The notebook comes equipped with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor.

The CPU has 4 cores and 8 threads with Intel Iris Xe Graphics. It offers a 4.2GHz maximum clock speed and an 8MB L3 cache.

It comes with 8GB LPDDR4 RAM and a 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD. For connectivity, the laptop supports Wi-Fi 6 standard (ax) with a 2 x 2 MIMO antenna and Bluetooth 5.1.

Similar to the Huawei MateBook D 15, a 720p HD recessed camera is hidden under a key. The webcam pops when given a press. Similarly, it also features Huawei Share.

Furthermore, the laptop includes two speakers and four microphones.

Battery

The notebook comes with a 56Wh battery. Huawei claims the battery can last for up to 11 hours playing local Full HD video.

It charges via a 65W USB Type-C charger that comes with the laptop. The charger can also be used to charge other USB-C compatible devices such as smartphones.
