Honor Nepal has finally launched the Honor MagicBook X 15 in Nepal after a four-month-long tease. The company had been teasing it on its Facebook page since December 2021.

The Honor MagicBook X 15 price in Nepal is Rs. 75,000 for the Core i3-10110U variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. Whereas, the Core i5-10210U variant costs Rs. 90,000 (8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) in Nepal.

Honor MagicBook X 15 Overview

Design

The laptop gives a premium feel with a sleek aluminium metal body. It is also not that heavy or bulky, weighing only 1.56kg and measuring 16.9mm in thickness.

The power button also doubles as a fingerprint sensor to conveniently unlock the laptop. The webcam on the Honor MagicBook X 15 is hidden in the pop-up key between the F6 and F7 keys. People may like it for privacy reasons, but they may hate the camera angle.

For the ports, the Honor MagicBook X 15 features two USB-A (1 x USB 3.0 Gen 1, 1 x USB 2.0), a Type-C, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Display

The Honor MagicBook X 15 flaunts a 15.6-inch IPS LCD display. It’s a Full HD screen that has 5.3mm side bezels, resulting in an 87% screen-to-body ratio.

The display has an aspect ratio of 16:9, a contrast ratio of 800:1, and covers 45% NTSC colour space.

Hardware

The ultrabook comes with two CPU options: Intel i5 10210U and Intel i3 10110U. The Intel i5 10210U has 4 cores and 8 threads with a max turbo frequency of 4.2GHz and a base frequency of 1.60GHz.

The Intel i3 10110U, on the other hand, has 2 cores and 4 threads with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.10GHz and a base frequency of 2.10GHz. The laptop does not feature a dedicated GPU; it only has integrated Intel UHD Graphics.

The laptop comes with either 8GB of DDR4 RAM in a dual-channel configuration and 256GB or 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage.

Battery and Others

The Honor MagicBook X 15 comes with a 56Wh battery and a 65W charger that charges via USB Type-C.

For connectivity, the laptop has Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) technology and Bluetooth 5.0.

Currently, only the Space Gray colour option is available in the country. It is available at Honor authorized stores across Nepal.

The Honor MagicBook X 15 is a decent laptop good for basic light work. The aluminium build of the laptop, its thin and light form factor, and the thin side bezels of the display give it a premium feel.

However, the placement of the webcam may not be to everyone’s liking, as the camera angle is unnatural. It would also have been better if the laptop came with the latest 11th Gen Intel CPUs instead of the 10th Gen ones.
