HONOR Choice Earbuds X5 with ANC Hits the Nepalese Market

Honor has launched its new TWS earbuds, the Honor Choice Earbuds X5, in the Nepalese market.

The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 comes with features like ANC, IP54 ingress protection rating, and a claimed 9 hours of continuous music playback at a relatively decent price.

Honor Choice Earbuds X5 Overview

Design

From the outside, the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 features a clean, unicolor look without any branding or text written on the case. The case has an oval-shaped body with only the charging LED present. Inside, the earbuds are placed in their separate compartments, much like Apple’s AirPods Pro. There is one USB-C port present on the underside for charging.

The earbuds have silicone ear tips to better fit the ear and improve noise isolation. Attached to the body is the stem of the earbud, which houses the touch controls and the earbud battery. The stem also contains the charging points at the base.

To maximize usability, the earbuds also come with IP54 ingress protection. Meaning that rain and sweating during workouts will not harm the earbuds. The case, however, is not IP-certified.

Features

One of the main features of the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 is the addition of active noise cancellation (ANC), which is effective for sound levels up to 30dB. This is a feature found mostly on high-end and premium earbuds that helps suppress external noise.

Along with this, the X5 earbuds also come with an ‘Awareness Gain’ feature that works opposite of ANC and helps you listen to ambient sound. Other features, like ENC during phone calls and low-latency gaming mode, are also included in these earbuds. For Sound, each earbud features a 10mm dynamic driver.

Battery and Connectivity

Honor claimed the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 can provide users with a continuous music playback of 9 hours and, combined with the case, a music playback of 35 hours.

Honor has also claimed that the battery takes around 100 minutes to charge from 0 to 100% with the USB-C connector.

Connectivity-wise, the buds come with Bluetooth 5.3 and can connect to both iOS and Android devices to play music. Additionally, you can use the HONOR AI Space app to customize the touch controls and change EQ modes.

The Honor Choice Earbuds X5 price in Nepal is Rs. 5,499. The earbuds are available for purchase across Nepal through online retailers as well as physical stores.

All in all, the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 is a decent pair of earbuds when considering the price point. While they lack any innovative features or unique design elements, the earbuds do not have any sore spots or lacking features either.
