Dizo Watch 2 with 1.69-Inch Display and 5ATM Water Resistance Launched in Nepal

Dizo, a subsidiary of Realme, has launched the Dizo Watch 2 in Nepal. It is a successor to the Dizo Watch launched a few months ago in the country.

The Dizo Watch 2 price in Nepal is Rs. 5,099. It can be bought via the online marketplace Daraz.

Design & Display

The Dizo Watch 2 has a square display with a detachable wrist strap, similar to its predecessor. However, this time the display is much larger at 1.69-inch, which is 20% bigger compared to the original Dizo Watch, making it one of the biggest displays in a smartwatch in this price range.

The display also boasts a max brightness of 600nits and is topped with 2.5D curved glass. Also, the watch now has a zinc alloy metal frame instead of polycarbonate and is 5ATM water-resistant.

It’s nice to see a budget-friendly smartwatch with a big display and a metal frame. However, the display is TFT LCD, unlike the OLED ones found in the higher-end smartwatches.

Furthermore, it comes with 20mm detachable straps and weighs 52.5g, which some people may find a bit heavy. In terms of colours, Silver Grey and Golden Pink are the only options available in Nepal at the moment.

Fitness, Health & Other Features

The watch has 15 different sports modes. The modes include cycling, walking and running indoors and outdoors, football, basketball, cricket, badminton, strength training, free training, jump rope, rowing, elliptical, mountaineering, and yoga.

And now, the watch can be connected and synced with the new Dizo app.

On the Dizo app, all activities, including steps taken, distance covered, calories burnt, etc., are intelligently tracked, recorded, and synced.

To keep track of the users’ health, the smartwatch features automated 24×7 heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation) measurement. Additionally, the watch also tracks women’s menstrual cycles.

Other features include breathing exercises and meditation. Moreover, the watch will also send sedentary and water intake reminders, as well as call and message notifications and reminders.

Not to mention, it can show the weather forecasts, set alarms, find the phone, control the camera and music remotely, and much more. It also comes pre-loaded with 100+ watch faces.

Connectivity

For connectivity, the Dizo Watch 2 uses Bluetooth 5.0 technology. The watch can be linked to both Android and iOS devices using the Dizo app, which can be downloaded from the Play Store and App Store.

This is the first Dizo product to be equipped with the new Dizo app. Previously, the Realme Link App was used to connect all the Dizo IoT products. It hints that from now on, all future Dizo products will use the new Dizo app.

Battery

The smartwatch includes a 260mAh battery. It’s a smaller battery capacity compared to the original Dizo smartwatch, which had a 312mAh battery.

Nevertheless, the company claims the Watch 2 can last up to 10 days on a single charge, thanks to its low-power consumption chip.

The watch comes with a magnetic suction base for charging. With the base, one can charge the device simply by laying the watch down gently.

For a budget-friendly smartwatch, the Dizo Watch 2 definitely offers a lot. The big display and the metal frame are impressive for a smartwatch in this price range.

This second iteration of the Dizo watch now has a menstrual cycle tracking feature as well, making it useful for women. The 5ATM water resistance and 10-day battery life are also admirable.

And the fact that it is available at a lower price than the Dizo Watch’s launch price further adds to the appeal of this smartwatch.
