MAW Vriddhi AutoCorp, the authorized distributor of Changan vehicles in Nepal, has introduced another EV to its lineup: the Deepal E07, also known as the Changan Nevo E07 in the international market. The company already sells two other EVs: the Deepal S07 and the Deepal L07.

Nevo is a newly launched automotive brand introduced by Changan. Nevo completely focuses on New Energy Vehicles such as Electric and Hybrids.

The Nevo E07 by Changan’s sub-brand, Nevo, showcases Chinese auto manufacturers’ bold strides in innovation and versatility.

Since Deepal, another sub-brand of Changan Auto, has already established itself in Nepal, the company is bringing the Nevo E07 to Nepal under the name Deepal E07. Deepal E07 Overview

Design

The Deepal E07 has earned the nickname “Chinese Cybertruck” due to its design, which draws comparisons to the Tesla Cybertruck.

However, while the Cybertruck boasts a bold, angular, and unconventional look, the E07 maintains the smooth curves and more familiar design elements typical of traditional automobiles.

At the front, the E07 keeps things simple. The low-sitting bumper features air intakes that help cool the battery pack. The slim, “C”-shaped LED headlights lend the vehicle a futuristic feel, while the grille serves little more than an aesthetic purpose for cohesion.

One standout feature of the electric model is its massive frunk, offering plenty of storage space under the bonnet.

From the side, the E07 presents a coupe-like silhouette. It comes equipped with large 21-inch, 3-Spoke Alloy Wheels.

Inside, the first row offers ample space and width, though the second-row space is slightly reduced to accommodate the vehicle’s pickup transformation capabilities. However, this doesn’t significantly impact comfort.

Looking at the rear, the design resembles Deepal’s L07 but with a surprising twist. A push of a button opens the overhead glass, revealing generous boot space.

Both of these variants are supported by a 89.98 kWh Ternery Lithium Battery. The RWD variant manages a 566 Km of WLTP claimed range while the AWD offers a range of 490 Km of WLTP range.

The onboard 6.6 kW AC Charger manages to charge it from 0 to 100% in around 15 hours.

The E07 operates on an advanced 800-volt platform, enabling ultra-fast charging at speeds of up to 240 kW.

However, in Nepal, where the commonly available charging infrastructure supports only 60 kW, the DC Fast Charger can still replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in approximately one hour.

The RWD variant boasts a top speed of 180 km/h and sprints from 0 to 100 Km/h in just 7.1 seconds.

The AWD variant takes performance even further, achieving a top speed of 210 Km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 Km/h in an impressive 4 seconds.

While Deepal Nepal has not officially confirmed these figures, the top speed is likely electronically capped at a slightly lower limit.
