CG Motors, as the official distributor for Dayun New Energy in Nepal, has introduced the Dayun Yuehu, a sub-compact SUV.

Dayun, originally known for producing trucks and tractors, expanded into electric vehicle manufacturing under the name Dayun New Energy as China introduced favorable policies and grants to support the electric vehicle industry.

Dayun introduced Yuehu as an attempt to make affordable EVs for the Chinese market. And now, Yuehu has been launched in Nepal as one of the most affordable option in the sub-compact range.

Dayun Yuehu price in Nepal is Rs. 31 Lakhs. This price makes the Yuehu one of the most affordable sub-compact EV that you can currently buy in Nepal.

Furthermore, it is being offered with an 8-year or 1,50,000 Km warranty on the motor and battery, and 5-Year or 120,000 Km warranty on the chassis of the vehicle.

Design

The front of the Dayun Yuehu features a striking split LED headlight setup, designed with an animalistic impression that adds a bold look.

Its closed grille aligns with modern EV design norms, blending seamlessly into the vehicle’s overall aesthetic.

The charging port, conveniently located at the front center, supports both AC and DC charging options, offering versatility for users.

From the side, the car sits noticeably higher, thanks to its impressive 201 mm ground clearance.

This, combined with its 15-inch Alloy Wheels, gives the Yuehu a commanding presence. Several character lines run along the side profile, adding depth and style to the design.

At the rear, the “Dayun” logo is prominently placed in the center, just above sleek LED taillight strips that stretch across the width of the car, enhancing its modern appeal.

Inside, the Yuehu boasts a minimalistic design, with an 8-inch Central Screen providing essential controls and information.

The three-spoke steering wheel includes physical controls for ease of use, while the 7-inch Instrument Cluster behind it adds a stylish touch to the cockpit, making the interior feel both functional and refined.

Performance

Dayun Yuehu is powered by a 35 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). It generates a max power of 48 PS and a max torque of 105 Nm.

It is supported by a 30.66 kWh Ternary Battery with a 300 Km NEDC claimed range. Moreover, the charging time from 0 to 100% is around 10 hours with a 3.3 kW AC Charger.

Under fast charging condition, it can charge from 20% to 80% in around 50 minutes. 

Moreover, the Yuehu can reach a top speed of 100 Km/h.

Additional Details

McPherson Independent Suspension and Stabilizer handles the suspension duties.

The dimensions are 3695 mm in length, 1685 mm in width, and 1598 mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 2410 mm.

Ground clearance for the Yuehu is 201 mm. And, the kerb weight is 1100 Kg.

It includes a 255 liters of boot space.
