We reached out to Tata Nepal to address the reason behind the Tata Tiago EV price increase.

As per the representative, the recent price hike of Tiago EVs in Nepal indicates the end of the introductory offer. During the initial launch at the NADA Auto Show, Tata Nepal received an overwhelming response with numerous bookings for the Tiago EV, which extended the introductory offer for over 7 months.

Now that all the bookings have been satisfied, the new prices reflect the actual post-introductory cost of the Tiago EV for the Nepali market.

What is the Price of the Tata Tiago EV in Nepal?

Tata Tiago EV price in Nepal starts at Rs. 26.99 Lakhs to Rs. 28.99 Lakhs. It is available in one trim level across three different variants.

Previously, it was available in the Medium Range and Long Range configuration. However, that is no longer the case with the new update.

Tiago EV is only available in the Long Range option with a 49.01 kW Motor, 24 kWh Battery, and 315 km Range across XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Tech Plus variants.

Importantly, Tata Nepal offers an 8-Year (or 160000 KM) Battery and Motor Warranty and a 3-Year (or 125000 KM) Vehicle Warranty.

Design

Tata Tiago EV shares the same styling as the ICE Tiago.

It follows a more premium design, especially with the contrasting black roof.

The front portion gets Angular Projector Headlamps, bumper-integrated LED DRLs, and Fog lamps.

There are hints of the Signature Tri-Arrow Design. However, it is overshadowed by the EV-inspired accents like the EV Front Grille.

Other key highlights include Hyperstyle Wheels and Body-Colored Door Handles with a Piano Black Strip.

The rear styling is comparatively reserved, nevertheless giving off a sporty character to the trendy Tail Lamps.

Performance

Tata Tiago EV is powered by a 49.01kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It generates a max power of 66 PS and a max torque of 114Nm, capable of 120 kmph top speed.

The 24 kW Lithium Ion Battery can charge from 10% to 100% in 8.7 hours via a 15A plug, offering a 315 Km claimed range.

Interestingly enough, the charge time can be improved by a 7.2kW Charger, reducing the overall charge time to just 3.6 hours.

Tiago EV is equipped with Smart 4-Mode Regenerative Braking.
