BYD Nepal to Showcase Future of EVs at Hi-Tech Week on Feb 27!

BYD Nepal is organizing an unprecedented BYD Hi-Tech Week event.

Cimex, the authorized distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, is organizing an event highlighting its technological advancement in the EV segment. The event will showcase five cutting-edge BYD models from sub-brands like Fangchengbao, Denza, and Yangwang.

It will take place from 27 February to 2 March 2025 at the Everest Hotel in Kathmandu.

The event tickets are exclusively available in eSewa for Rs. 250. Moreover, entry will be free for students up to the undergraduate level with valid student ID verification.

The event will display Fangchengbao Leopard 5, Denza D9, Denza Z9 GT, Yangwang U8, and BYD Shark. International markets sell these models, but they are not available in Nepal for now.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore Hi-Tech Interactive Zones, Next-Gen Vehicle Showcase, Live Technology Demos, Expert Panel Discussions, Exclusive Product Reveals, and more.

Currently, BYD Nepal offers BYD Atto 3, BYD Dolphin, BYD M6, BYD Seal, and BYD e6 for the Nepali market.

These advanced products will showcase the next generations of EVs that will continue to revolutionize the electric mobility segment in the Nepali market.

BYD Shark 6

It is the first BYD mid-size pickup that debuted in 2024.

BYD Shark 6 comes with a hybrid powertrain that pairs a 1.5L Turbocharged Inline Four-Cylinder Petrol Engine with an Electric Motor Setup. The front axle is powered by a 170 kW motor, while the rear features a 150 kW motor. Together, this system delivers a max power of 436 PS and 650 Nm of max torque.

Built on an AWD Plug-in Hybrid Architecture, it combines a rugged and sportier exterior with a premium yet practical interior.

Shark 6 comes with advanced features like Hill Hold Control, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Descent Control, Auto Hold, and Multiple Terrain Modes.

Fangchengbao Leopard 5

BYD makes its entry into the premium off-road segment with Fangchengbao Leopard 5.

Fangchengbao Leopard 5 is powered by a 1.5L Turbo Charged Petrol Engine paired with Dual Electric Motors, generating 686PS of max power and 760Nm of max torque. It goes all-out in terms of exterior styling packed with premium features.

Leopard 5 features three large Infotainment Displays, 18 Tivare-branded Stereo Speakers, On-Board Refrigerator, and more.

It is sold outside China as Denza B5.

Yangwang U8

It is another full-size luxury SUV.

Yangwang U8 is the first vehicle from Yangwang–a sub-brand of BYD. It is powered by a 2.0L Petrol Range Extender with an 880kW Electric Motor, generating 1196PS of max power and 1289Nm torque.

Moreover, the U8 features BYD’s proprietary e4 platform with Individual Wheel Drive technology, making it capable of 360-degree tank turns.

U8 is the most advanced electric SUV on the market, making it one of the most expensive mass-produced Chinese EVs during its initial introduction. Justifying its price, the Yangwang U8 goes all out in specs, features, and performance.

Denza D9

It is yet another premium hybrid minivan by Denza–another sub-brand of BYD.

Denza D9 is powered by either a 230kW or 275kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, generating 312PS max power – 360Nm max torque and 373PS max power – 470Nm max torque respectively. It gets a 103kWh BYD Blade Battery with a claimed WLTC range of up to 520 km.

D9 features LED Lights, Powered Doors, Captain Seats, a 3-zone Independent Climate Control System, a 14-speaker Dynaudio System, a Mini-Fridge, and more.

Denza Z9 GT

It is a high-end luxury car that combines luxury and performance.

Denza Z9 GT is powered by a 2.0L Plug-in Hybrid Engine, generating 207PS of max power and 325Nm of max torque. It is supported by a 38.5kWh LFP battery, claiming a whooping 1100km of combined range with the engine and triple motor.

Z9 GT features a three-motor system that is 4WD capable.

Other unique features include the Denza 2.0 cockpit concept, a 26-speaker Devialet Sound System, a T-shaped center console, frameless doors, and more.
