The boAt Airdopes 170 comes in an oval-shaped plastic case with a matte finish. The case has the boAt branding on the front and a USB Type-C port on the bottom side, whereas the side has a curved line design.

Within the case, you’ll find two earphones, each equipped with color-matching silicone ear tips. The earphone stems display the boAt branding, an LED indicator, and distinct letters to differentiate the left and right earbuds.

Moreover, the earphone’s stem is touch-sensitive, allowing users to play/pause music, answer/end calls, skip songs, and more. The buds are also IPX4 water-resistant, so they should handle a splash of water. The TWS comes in three color options: black, blue, and white.

The boAt Airdopes 170 earphones have a 13mm driver. The in-ear design of the Airdopes 170 should help block the external noise. It also features an “ENx technology,” which essentially is a fancy way of saying it has an ENC algorithm to help eliminate environmental noise when on a call.

There is also a gaming mode called “Beast mode.” Users can turn this mode on by touching and holding the right earbud. When turned on, boAt says the earbuds will have a low latency of just 50ms for better gameplay.

Each earbud has a 40mAh battery, and the case has a 470mAh battery. boAt claims the earbuds can last up to 50 hours on a single charge when combined with the case.

The boAt Airdopes 170 has Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. Simply opening the case lets the paired phone automatically connect with the earbuds. boAt has named this feature the “Insta Wake N’ Pair.”
