Best 5 Bikes Under 4 Lakhs in Nepal

#1. Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 (FI – ABS)

Let’s start from the Number 1 position on our list with Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 ABS FI. After much speculations, Bajaj Nepal has finally launched one of the popular naked-streets bikes in Nepal with a live-saving update!

Now, you can easily upgrade to the one with a Fuel-Injected engine! Moreover, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 ABS FI price in Nepal is Rs. 3,54,900.

Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 is powered by a 199.5cc liquid-cooled FI engine. Furthermore, it can generate a max power of 23.17PS at 9500rpm and 18.3Nm at 8000rpm. Likewise, it is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a fuel capacity of 12L. Compared to the carb variant, the power train remains unchanged. However, there will be a significant improvement in Fuel Economy.

Why did I include it on this list?

In comparison, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 (FI – ABS) comes with an extra +3BHP of power. That’s practically the highest in this segment. Moreover, add that with the FI engine and a single-channel ABS update for just Rs. 3.54 Lakhs… It is practically a steal! Furthermore, the after-sales service is excellent, with reliable service centers and affordable spare parts.

Still, Bajaj should’ve gone with a new color scheme. Maybe, an all-digital instrument cluster would’ve added a little charm. Despite a few lacking aspects, Bajaj NS 200 FI ABS is on the top of our list!

#2. TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

Recently, TVS has been knocking it out of the park with some excellent motorcycle design. Let’s not forget that everything started with the iconic TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

It is powered by a 197.5 cc single-cylinder engine. Moreover, it can produce 20.21bhp of power and 18.1 Nm of torque. Furthermore, it comes with off-placed Fuel Cap, Dual-channel ABS, FI-engine, double-barrel exhaust, white back-lit instrument cluster, LED DRLs, and a slipper-cutch!TVS Apache RTR 200 4V price nepalBut that’s not all! You’ll get a more refined engine, packed with excellent ride comfort and handling.

In all honesty, Apache RTR 200 4V comes with enough punch on the low and mid revs. Although, the higher rev is missing something. Maybe, a sixth gear could’ve done it some justice.

Why did I include it on this list?

It shouldn’t be much of a big surprise to see the inclusion of Apache RTR 200 4V in the Number 2 position. It has so much to offer, especially being the most affordable 200cc motorcycle. Plus, it offers an all-digital informative instrument cluster, base-heavy exhaust and so much more. Moreover, it’s the one affordable 200cc motorcycle to offer slipper-clutch.

However, RTR 200 4V is not that perfect. Currently, it is available only in the Carburetor variant which might or might not come with ABS.

According to rumors, TVS is expected to give it an FI engine with an ABS update. Additionally, that variant might even feature Smart Navigation. When that happens, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is sure to be on the top spot!

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Key Specifications

  • Engine Displacement: 200cc
  • Mileage (City): 35kmpl
  • Top Speed: 127kmph
  • Max Power: 20.70 bhp @ 9,000 rpm
  • Max Torque: 18.10 Nm @ 7,000 rpm
  • No. of gears: 5
  • Fuel tank capacity: 12 liters
  • Weight (Kerb) : 148 kgs

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Price in Nepal: Rs. 3,24,900

Pros Cons
All-rounder motorcycle No sixth gear
Punchy low-end and mid-end performance Lack of top-end performance
Slipper Clutch!

#3. Yamaha FZ25 (Without ABS)

To be clear, I am including the Yamaha FZ25, but this one is without the new Dual-Channel ABS update.Yamaha FZ25 is Yamaha’s entry to the 250cc segment. Moreover, it is powered by a single-cylinder SOHC FI engine with 249cc displacement. It will generate a max power of 20.9 BHP and max torque of 20 Nm. Furthermore, it gets standard features including a 5-Speed Gearbox, LED Lights, Informative Instrument Cluster, aerodynamic front cowl, dual horn, comfortable seats, and much more.

Plus, it is one of the most beautiful motorcycles I’ve ever seen! Clearly, Yamaha brought their A-game when they designed this!

Why did I include it on this list?

If you look at every other motorcycle on this list, the price is kind of limited to include 200cc or under motorcycles. However, Yamaha FZ25 comes with a 250cc FI engine.

Well, is that good? Sure, you will get an extra +2Nm of torque in comparison, which helps a lot to give that extra boost of pick up. Plus, it is a Yamaha engine that guarantees durability and reliability. Unfortunately, it is still lacking in terms of an outdated instrument cluster.

Honestly, I don’t think the Dual-Channel ABS upgrade is worth extra Rs. 60,000! If you are itching to go for the FZ25 with the Dual-Channel update, I’d totally recommend choosing the Suzuki Gixxer 250 over this one!

Yamaha FZ 25 Key Specifications

  • Engine Displacement: 249 cc
  • Mileage (city): 43 kmpl
  • Max Power: 20.6 BHP @ 8000rpm
  • Max Torque: 20Nm @ 6000rpm
  • Top Speed: 141kmph
  • Brake: Dual Disc
  • No. of Gears: 5
  • Fuel tank capacity: 14 liters
  • Weight (Dry): 148 kg

Yamaha FZ 25 Price in Nepal: Rs. 3,89,900

Yamaha FZ 25 Price in Nepal (ABS): Rs. 4,29,900

Pros Cons
Affordable 250cc bike Outdated Instrument Cluster
Solid Yamaha build quality

#4. Hero XPulse 200

Hero MotoCorp always comes with some weird design. Some like it, most don’t. Moreover, they always try to put commuter-ish design touches everywhere, even on their larger 200cc segment.

However, Hero seems to have gotten things right after a long time. Both Hero XPluse 200T and XPluse 200 looks and feels fresh. Plus, it is most definitely one of the more good-looking Hero motorcycles in a long while.

Hero XPulse 200 Price in Nepal

Among the two great motorcycles, we are here to talk about Hero XPulse 200. Furthermore, it is powered by a 199cc air-cooled engine. Moreover, it can generate a max power of 18.4PS at 8000rpm and a max torque of 17.1Nm at 6500rpm.

Unfortunately, the engine comes only in the carburetor variant. Moreover, the performance numbers might seem slightly underpowering. That’s why it is at Number 4 on this list. Otherwise, it should clearly be at the Top 3!

Why did I include it on this list?

Sure, Hero XPulse comes with an underpowered engine. Interestingly, it makes up for it in another aspect of the motorcycle.

Hero XPulse 200 is a dedicated off-roader with windshield, larger front mud-guard, larger suspension setup, high-mounted exhaust, single-channel ABS, and spoke wheels. Furthermore, it also gets a new-gen Hero Instrument Cluster (with Smart Navigation).

If you are looking for a dedicated off-roader along with somewhat of a cost-effective alternative to Royal Enfield Himalayan, Hero XPulse 200 might just be it.

Hero XPulse 200 Key Specifications

  • Engine Displacement: 199.6cc
  • Mileage (City): 30-35 kmpl
  • Top Speed: 129kmph
  • Max Power : 18.4PS @ 8000 rpm
  • Max Torque : 17.1 Nm @ 6500 rpm
  • No. of gears: 5
  • Braking: Dual Disc (Single-Channel ABS)
  • Fuel tank capacity: 13L
  • Weight (Dry) : 153 kg

Hero XPulse 200 Price in Nepal: Rs. 3,85,000

Hero XPulse 200T Price in Nepal: Rs. 3,32,000

Pros Cons
Excellent performance Vibrations at higher RPM
Excellent off-road design XPulse 200 is slightly more expensive
Value for money!

#5. Suzuki Gixxer SF

I know, its controversial choice, especially considering its price for a 155cc engine. But stay with me, I’ll try my best to justify it.

2019 Suzuki Gixxer 155 is powered by a 155cc fuel-injected engine. It can generate a max power of 14.1PS at 8000rpm and 14Nm of max torque at 6000rpm. In comparison with its naked version, the overall power output is pretty much the same.2019 gixxer sf price in nepalSo, you also get the single-channel ABS topped off with smoother FI-engine. However, you will notice slight differences that separate the two.

In Suzuki Gixxer SF, you get a full faring design, clip-on handlebar, and a larger headlamp. Plus, the cover design is much sportier.

Why did I include it on this list?

Clearly, Gixxer SF is overpriced to some extent. Moreover, it would be more practical to choose the naked version. However, every other bike on this list follows the “Naked Sports” model. Technically, Suzuki Gixxer SF is the only one to offer a fully-faired version, while still being under that Rs. 4 Lakh condition.

SEE ALSO: Suzuki Bikes Price in Nepal

Yes, you still have to compromise being limited to a 155cc engine. But that’s still a good Japanese engine, which is kind of worth it on its own. Additionally, you can add an extra Rs. 4,000 to get that MotoGP Edition which I highly recommend doing!

2019 Suzuki Gixxer 155 Key Specifications

  • Displacement: 154.9cc
  • Mileage: 45-50kmpl
  • Max Power:14.1 PS @ 8000rpm
  • Torque: 14 Nm @ 6000rpm
  • Top Speed: 115kmph
  • No. of gears: 5
  • Braking: Disc (Single-Channel ABS)
  • Fuel tank: 12L
  • Kerb Weight(kg): ‎146kg

Suzuki Gixxer SF Price in Nepal: Rs. 3,68,900

Suzuki Gixxer SF Price in Nepal (MotoGP Edition): Rs. 3,72,900

Pros Cons
Best-in-class FI-Engine performance Awkward pillion seat
Informative instrument cluster
Affordable Full-Faired Motorcycle
