MAW Vriddhi already has one of the most technology-packed Chinese EV brands in its portfolio. As the authorized distributor of Avatr Technology in Nepal, the company first introduced the Avatr 11. That launch helped establish Avatr as a serious contender in the luxury EV space and set the tone for what a modern premium electric vehicle should offer.

Avatr Technology itself was established in 2018 as a premium intelligent EV brand through a strategic partnership between Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei. Each partner plays a very specific role in building the Avatr ecosystem. Changan brings decades of experience in vehicle engineering and large-scale manufacturing. CATL contributes its industry-leading battery technology, which focuses on high energy density, strong safety standards, and fast-charging capabilities.

Huawei integrates advanced digital technologies including sophisticated driver assistance systems and a deeply connected infotainment platform. Together, these three companies combine automotive engineering, battery innovation, and intelligent software to create vehicles that focus just as much on digital experience as they do on driving performance.

So far, Avatr has introduced six different models under their badge. In Nepal, the lineup currently consists of the Avatr 11. However, that will soon change. MAW Vriddhi is preparing to launch the Avatr 07, which will expand the brand’s presence and add a second model to the Avatr family in the Nepali market.

MAW Vriddhi has already begun road testing the Avatr 07 in Nepal as part of its preparation for launch. Based on the current progress, the company is expected to introduce the model within the next couple of months. We will continue to update this article as more official information becomes available.

Based on our current assumptions about the possible incoming variants, let us take a closer look at the specifications of the Avatr 07 in Nepal for 2026. Do remember that these specs might go under changes depending on distributors’ assessment.

Avatr 07 Overview

Exterior

The design of the Avatr 07 follows a philosophy called Emotive Luxury. This approach blends futuristic sci-fi elements with forms inspired by nature while maintaining a distinct “polyhedron” identity across the bodywork. Avatr’s global design center in Munich, Germany developed the concept, and the team clearly focused on balancing visual drama with aerodynamic efficiency. As a result, the Avatr 07 achieves a drag coefficient of 0.259, which is impressive for a mid-size electric SUV.

At the front, the Avatr 07 presents a confident and distinctive look. The car uses a disc-wing face combined with the LED Star-Tour front lamp system. These lamps use dual-layer thick-walled light guides that create a sharp C-shaped lighting signature.

The original model also features a HALO screen with more than 10,000 LED beads integrated into the fascia, although this feature will likely not appear in Nepal-bound variants. Like most EVs, the grille remains fully sealed. Slim air curtains and subtle illuminated logos help guide airflow around the front section, reducing drag by roughly 0.009 Cd. These details highlight the effort the design team invested in optimizing the frontal aerodynamics.

From the side, the Avatr 07 looks equally striking. The SUV adopts a fastback-style roofline that gradually tapers toward the rear pillar. This shape gives the car a sporty stance while also helping airflow move smoothly toward the rear. Flush door handles further reduce turbulence along the side surfaces.

The 07 rides on large 20-inch alloy wheels, and their geometric pattern reinforces the futuristic theme that Avatr aimed to achieve with the aforementioned design objective. The proportions also play a major role in the design. The wheelbase-to-length ratio stands at 0.61, which indicates a long wheelbase relative to the overall body length. This usually translates into a spacious cabin and a planted stance on the road.

Meanwhile, the width-to-height ratio sits at 1.23, which gives the SUV a wide and low visual presence, as evident from the side profile.

At the rear, the Avatr 07 carries clear visual cues from the Avatr 11. It uses slim, minimalistic lighting elements that keep the design clean and futuristic. However, unlike the Avatr 11, which features a continuous full-width light strip, the 07 uses separated taillight elements on either side.

The tailgate also appears slightly larger, which hints at improved practicality. As expected, the larger boot opening also translates to better usable storage space.

There are five options for exterior colors: Plum Purple, Olive, Jet Black, Soft White, Charcoal Grey, and on a personal note, the Plum Purple one looks quite pretty.

Interior

Think screens… a lot of screens. The centerpiece is a massive 35.4-inch panoramic display that dominates the entire dashboard, paired with a 15.6-inch central infotainment screen. Together, they create a very digital and futuristic cockpit that can feel quite overwhelming at first glance.

Beyond the screens, the Avatr 07 also focuses heavily on comfort and material quality. The cabin uses a generous mix of soft-touch materials throughout the dashboard, doors, and center console. The standard seating upholstery comes in artificial leather, while some international variants offer optional Nappa leather. For Nepal, the standard artificial leather is the more likely configuration.

The seats themselves offer an impressive range of functionality. Both front seats follow a zero-gravity design and provide 16-way electric adjustment. They also support heating, ventilation, and massage functions, which should make long drives significantly more comfortable. The rear seats focus more on basic comfort and include heating, but they do not offer massage or ventilation features.

The Avatr 07 also packs a long list of convenience and entertainment features. Depending on the variant, the SUV offers either a 16-speaker or a 25-speaker premium audio system. Other standard amenities include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, driver Face ID recognition, wireless charging, multiple fast charging ports, and customizable ambient lighting. Together, these features create a cabin environment that feels modern, comfortable, and thoroughly tech-focused.

Also, the interior is available in dual tone settings, i.e., Silver + Taupe and Charcoal + Mauve.

Performance

The probable incoming variant(s) of Avatr 07 is/are powered by a 252 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor that generates a max power of 343 PS and a max torque of 365 Nm. While these are blistering numbers, the motor might be capped at a lower capacity for usable scenarios and suitable tax bracket. That said, the rear wheel drive will definitely remain intact, so it will be fun to drive and will have that sporty character.

07 is powered by a 82.16 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery which is manufactured by one of the partnering bodies of Avatr Technology, i.e., CATL. The posted CLTC range of 07 is 650 km which is a pretty high number but remember it is a CLTC-based range and will deviate in real driving scenarios. For reference, the WLTP range of 07 is 488 km and that still is a good number.

While the performance numbers look exciting on paper, the most important aspect of the Avatr 07 lies in its underlying platform. The SUV runs on an 800-volt electrical architecture that integrates silicon carbide technology in its power electronics. This setup allows the system to handle higher voltages more efficiently while reducing energy loss during power conversion. In practical terms, it improves overall drivetrain efficiency, supports higher power delivery, and manages heat more effectively under demanding conditions.

One of the real application of this architecture is the ultra-fast charging that it can support. The 07 supports a max DC charging of 420 kW which can charge it from 30% to 80% in 10 minutes or so. While the infrastructure of Nepal limits this capability, it still screams of the potential, this EV brings to the Nepali landscape. Meanwhile, with a 11 kW AC charging is still possible and it can fully charge the 07 in around 8 hours.

About performance numbers, the 07 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 200 kmph.

Additional Details

Double wishbone on the front and multi-link setup at the rear handles the suspension duties.

The dimensions are 4825 mm in length, 1980 mm in width, 1610 mm in height, and 2940 mm of wheelbase. This comfortably keeps the 07 in the mid-size/D-segment SUV category.

Ground clearance measure for the Avatr 07 is not known as of yet. It is likely that the ground clearance will undergo some extension for Nepali road conditions.

For storage, the 07 has quite a lot of space. The front has a frunk space of 90 liters while the rear boot space is of 500 liters, further expandable to 1325 liters. Also, there’s a under boot space of 60 liters.

Avatr 07 Price in Nepal and Availability

Talking about the price, Avatr 07 price in Nepal is rumored to be around Rs. 1,10,00,000. Also, it might be offered in variants, as the original 07 lineup has two pure EVs that largely differ from each other in terms of features and configuration, but rest of the powertrain is the same.

Currently, the 07 is going under road test in Nepal and might be launched in couple of months from now on. However, the actual timeline of introduction and launch is not committed by MAW Vriddhi as of yet.

Stay tuned for further updates.

Rivals

So who exactly rivals the Avatr 07? Considering the expected price bracket and the level of sophistication it offers, the Deepal E07 immediately comes to mind. Both vehicles sit close to the Rs. 1.10 Crores mark, which many expect to be the approximate pricing for the Avatr 07 in Nepal. The comparison also feels natural because MAW Vriddhi distributes both brands in the country.

Looking purely at the specifications, it is difficult to deliver a final verdict right now because the Avatr 07 may undergo some adjustments before it officially arrives in Nepal. Based on the standard international specification, the Avatr 07 appears significantly more powerful. It uses a 252 kW electric motor, whereas the Deepal E07 runs on a 190 kW unit. On the other hand, the E07 could gain an advantage in terms of range. It uses a 90 kWh NMC battery, while the Avatr 07 relies on a slightly smaller 82 kWh LFP pack.

Despite being the larger vehicle overall, the Deepal E07 weighs only about 10 kg more than the Avatr 07. Its aluminum-intensive chassis plays a key role in keeping the weight under control. Where the Avatr 07 clearly stands out is in its design. It carries a far more distinctive and futuristic look, whereas the E07 takes a more restrained and utilitarian approach. The Avatr 07 feels visually richer and arguably more fitting for its premium positioning.

When it comes to features, both EVs arrive heavily equipped. Differences mostly appear in smaller details rather than major equipment gaps. For example, the E07 offers an 18-speaker audio system, while the Avatr 07 steps up with 25 speakers. Details like this appear throughout the feature list, but none of them create a decisive advantage for either side. Buyers will likely find both vehicles extremely well equipped for the price. However, the Deepal E07 does carry a unique trick. Its transforming body style allows it to switch from an SUV to a pickup, and it also offers air suspension.

In many ways, the two vehicles represent different personalities. The Deepal E07 feels like a brute that has learned refinement through advanced engineering and versatility. The Avatr 07, in contrast, comes across as a design-focused and technologically ambitious EV that prioritizes elegance and futuristic appeal.

It will be interesting to see how the market responds once the Avatr 07 arrives and how MAW Vriddhi positions it alongside the Deepal E07 without affecting the latter’s momentum.

What do you think about the Avatr 07? Will it create some action in the premium EV segment? Do let us know in the comments.
