Apple iMac and iMac Pro 2020 Now Available in Nepal

Apple iMac and iMac Pro 2020 were launched in August 2020. And, now they are available in Nepal via Oliz Store.

Apple iMac 2020 price in Nepal starts at Rs. 1,75,000 whereas iMac Pro 2020 price in Nepal starts at Rs. 770,000.

The new iMac 2020 comes in 21.7-inch and a 27-inch whereas the iMac Pro 2020 comes in 27-inch only. These are the all in one’s that are mostly used as workstations. Let’s see what the 2020 versions of the iMac have to offer.

Build and Design

The new iMacs are designed just like most of the all-in-ones. It uses aluminum chassis and the design hasn’t changed much, it still retains that classic look.

The standard iMac comes in two sizes: 21.5 and 27-inch whereas the Pro version only comes in a 27-inch variant. The standard iMac has a 3.5mm headphone jack, SDXC card slot, 4 USB-A ports, ethernet port, and 2 Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports.

iMac Pro gets 4 Thunderbolt ports and everything else remains the same. All of the iMac’s get a stereo speaker setup and a microphone as well.

The standard iMac comes with a silver Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse 2 whereas the iMac Pro gets the same thing in Space Gray.

Display

The standard iMac comes in two display sizes: 21.5 inches and 27 inches. The 21.5-inch display has the option for an FHD LED panel or a Retina 4K panel. The 27-inch version has a 5k panel.

On the other hand, the iMac Pro has a 27-inch 5K panel with a screen resolution of 5120 x 2880 and support for 1 billion colors. Both, 4K Retina panel and 5K Retina panel boast wide p3 color gamut and 500 nits brightness.

Performance

Alongside the size difference, there’s also a lot of configurations in terms of the underlying hardware. You can configure the base iMac with a 2.3GHz dual-core 8th gen processor up to a 3.8GHz 8-Core processor. Along with different processors, there are different memory configurations. iMac Pro is available in a single configuration: 3.0GHz 10-Core Intel Xeon W Processor with 32GB 2666MHz ECC memory and 1TB SSD.

All but the most basic 4K iMac come with dedicated graphics cards for extra power. 4k iMacs come with Radeon Pro 555X or the 560X, which can be upgraded to the Radeon Pro Vega 20. On the 5K iMacs, you have the option to choose between Radeon Pro 570X, 575X, or 580X.

With the iMac Pro, you get a single Radeon Pro Vega 56 graphics card option in Nepal.

Apple iMac 2020 Price in Nepal and Availability

Apple iMac 2020 price in Nepal starts at Rs. 1,75,000 and goes up to Rs. 3,60,000. Whereas, the iMac Pro 2020 price in Nepal is Rs. 7,70,000.

The new iMacs boast a similar design but provide some boost in terms of hardware and plenty of configuration options with the standard and pro versions.
