The Madi Rural Municipality has started a feasibility study to establish a cable car system on the foothills of the Annapurna mountain range, reports OnlineKhabar. If the study yields positive results, the addition of cable cars in Annapurna could steadily increase the number of tourist in the already popular base.
The study is being done by Cubic Engineering Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. The study is testing the possibility of operating cable cars from Bhukulcha, Sikles (1,540 meters) to Kori (3,800 meters). The total distance of the proposed cable car is 6.5 Kilometers.
