Ai+ is the new kid on the block in the smartphone world. The company made its debut in mid-2025 with the launch of its first two models, the Ai+ Pulse and Ai+ Nova, in its home country, India.

Fast forward a few months, and the brand entered the Nepali market and made heads turn. I mean, we awarded the “Wallet Saver” category of the TechLekh Awards 2026 to Ai+ Pulse. And the Ai+ Nova was equally good, making it into the top 5 of multiple price points.
What is the Price of the Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G in Nepal?
The Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G price in Nepal were originally Rs. 8,999 (4/64GB) and Rs. 13,999 (6/128GB), respectively, which was amazing pricing for the specs they offered.
They then received a Rs. 1,000 price hike each in January, which was sad, but still not bad. Now, the cheaper model between the two got its price increased by another Rs. 1,000 on the base variant and Rs. 1500 on the 128GB trim. This brings the official price of Ai+ Pulse to Rs. 10,999 (4/64GB) and Rs. 14,999 (6/128GB).
Likewise, Ai+ hiked the prices of its pricier models by even more — Rs. 2,000 on both trims. As such, the effective price of Ai+ Nova 5G is Rs. 16,999 (6/128GB) and Rs. 19,999 (8/128GB).
These phones are available for purchase at all authorized stores across the country.
Both the Ai+ Pulse and Nova were amazing phones for their original launch prices. However, with the recent price increase, their charm has surely dwindled.
Regardless, let’s take a look at their specs and see how they measure up.

Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G Overview
Design

Both Ai+ phones follow a design approach that feels a bit different from what we usually see in the budget segment. Sure, the all-plastic build reminds you of their price point, but it’s the camera module where things get interesting.
The Ai+ Pulse stands out with a “squaricle” camera module, slightly angled at the bottom right. The back panel is flat with a matte finish, complemented by clean diagonal lines that give it a more refined look.

The Ai+ Nova, on the other hand, takes a more familiar route with a square camera module. But it adds a bold twist, a thick strip running across the top of the rear panel. While it might look like glass at first glance, it’s actually plastic.
Flip to the front, and the budget DNA shows again: chunky bezels and a classic waterdrop notch. The sides carry the usual volume rocker and power button, while the bottom houses a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a single speaker.
Display
Both phones sport the same 6.74-inch display. They also share an HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) resolution, which is fairly standard for devices in this price segment.

Where they differ is in the panel technology. The Pulse comes with a TFT IPS panel, which struggles with viewing angles. The Nova, meanwhile, opts for a more conventional LCD panel. In addition, the Pulse has a 90Hz refresh rate, while the Nova goes up to 120Hz. That’s pretty solid for budget phones, especially since most are still stuck at 60Hz.
Brightness, however, is a weak point on both. With a typical brightness of 450 nits (and dipping to around 400 nits at minimum), outdoor visibility takes a noticeable hit; using these phones under direct sunlight won’t be a pleasant experience.

Hardware
The Ai+ Pulse runs on the popular UNISOC T615, the same chip powering the Redmi A5, another strong entry-level contender. Interestingly, the Pulse comes in cheaper than the A5 while offering a bit more memory: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage in the base model. There’s also a 6/128GB variant, which makes the higher RAM capacity a solid value add at this price point.
The Ai+ Nova steps things up with the UNISOC T8200, essentially a rebranded T765. Since this is a 5G chip, it makes Nova the most affordable 5G phone in Nepal! The chip is near-identical to the UNISOC T760 found on HMD Crest and Moto G35, both of which are the best phones you can get under Rs 20,000.
So, performance-wise, Ai+ Nova still does not feel out of place. However, the rest of its specs don’t quite line up with the competition. But the dedicated microSD card slot with support for expansion up to 1TB that we get on both phones is pretty sweet and always a welcome.
Camera
As budget phones, the camera setup is nothing out of the ordinary. Both devices feature a 50MP main sensor with EIS, and that’s pretty much the highlight. On the front, you get a modest 5MP selfie camera.
Video recording, however, sets the two apart. The Pulse maxes out at 1080p@30fps on both front and rear cameras. The Nova, on the other hand, steps up with 4K@30fps video recording support on both ends, a rare perk in this segment.

Battery and OS
Both the Pulse and Nova pack a 5,000mAh battery, which is very standard. The 10W charging, however, is absolutely ancient. It is passable for Ai+ Pulse, whose competition rarely offers fast charging. But for Nova, it is a major disadvantage, as all its competition offer 15+ watts of charging.
On the software side, the phones ship with the privacy-focused NxtQuantum OS, based on Android 15 and powered by nxtQ. According to Ai+, the OS comes with locally trained AI engines and promises zero bloatware or unnecessary tracking.
However, there’s one catch: user data is stored on Indian servers. For Nepali buyers, this might raise a few concerns about data sovereignty and trust, especially for those who are cautious about where their personal information resides. How much this will actually impact adoption remains to be seen.
And no updates are promised either.
Ai+ Pulse and Nova 5G Price in Nepal and Availability
The Ai+ Pulse price in Nepal is Rs. 10,999 for the 4/64GB variant and Rs. 14,999 for the 6/128GB model. Similarly, the Ai+ Nova price in Nepal is set at Rs. 16,999 for 6/128GB and Rs. 19,999 for 8/128GB.
Both phones are available for purchase at authorized stores across the country.

Both Ai+ phones, Pulse and Nova, excel in some areas while falling short in others. One clear strength for both is the processor, which delivers good performance for the segment.
On the downside, the display panel and brightness are noticeably weak, and charging speeds are very slow. While the phones are still a good pick, considering their increased prices, some rivals still offer better overall value for money.
