The base variant of the Realme 9 4G with 6GB RAM is finally available in Nepal. When the device debuted in May in Nepal, it only had the 8GB variant.

The Realme 9 price in Nepal is Rs. 31,999 for the 6/128GB variant and Rs. 33,499 for the 8/128GB variant. The phone is available at all Realme authorized stores across Nepal.

The Realme 9 is the latest addition to the Realme 9 series following the Realme 9i and the Realme 9 Pro+. This is the 4G variant. Realme also offers a 5G model with the Dimensity 810 5G CPU in India.

Realme 9 Overview

Design

The Realme 9 4G has a plastic build with flat frames. The back has a transparent camera island with a triple camera setup and a flash.

The bottom houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone, a USB-C port, and a speaker. The power button is on the right side, while the volume buttons and the SIM card tray are on the left.

The SIM card tray also has a dedicated slot for a microSD card. The phone is available in three colours: Sunburst, Stargaze White, and Meteor Black.

Display

The phone comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. The display has a Full HD+ resolution and supports up to a 90Hz refresh rate.

It has an in-display optical fingerprint sensor that can also monitor users’ heart rate. It sports a circular cutout in the top left corner for the selfie camera. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Hardware

The Realme 9 is another budget phone that’s powered by the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G chipset. The processor is manufactured in the 6nm process and has a cluster of four Kryo 265 Gold CPU cores (up to 2.4GHz) and four Kryo 265 Silver CPU cores (up to 1.9GHz). And an Adreno 610 GPU.

The smartphone comes with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM combined with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

Camera

The Realme 9 is one of the world’s first smartphones to come with Samsung’s new 108MP ISOCELL HM6 sensor. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro sensor.

On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera. For video, the phone can shoot up to 1080p at 30fps.

Battery and OS

It has a 5000mAh battery. And it supports 33W fast charging.

The phone runs on Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out-of-the-box.

The Realme 9 has a 90Hz AMOLED display with an optical fingerprint sensor and a fast 33W charging. The device is equipped with the popular Snapdragon 680 chipset. The chipset is not known for its great performance but is a decent chipset for budget phones.
