The Legendary ‘Yamaha YZF-R6’ Supersport Motorcycle Launched in Nepal

Yamaha YZF-R6 is now available in Nepal.

MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal, has launched the legendary Yamaha YZF-R6.

It is one of the most popular Yamaha superbikes in the world, becoming a well-known entity in the middleweight supersport segment.

Before we move on to the details, please note that Yamaha Nepal has brought the new YZF-R6 in limited numbers. It is being brought in Nepal to showcase Yamaha’s rich history.

Alongside the Yamaha YZF-R6, Yamaha Nepal has also brought Yamaha MT-09, Yamaha Bolt, and Yamaha TMax 560 in Nepal.

With that quick detail out of the way, let’s take a look at the new Yamaha R6.

Design

Yamaha YZF-R6 comes with one of the most recognizable designs in the world.

YZF-R6 features an aerodynamic bodywork right alongside an aggressive look, bearing the hallmarks of Yamaha’s R-series DNA. It enforces track-level performance in a street-legal avatar.

It takes the overall sporty character to the extreme with the iconic hidden headlights and predatory LED position lights.

Additional elements like the M1-style air in-take adds a cherry on top.

Frankly, I can’t do any justice in explaining the look of this hyper beast.

It looks intimidating with its radical looks, refined bodywork, and mouth-watering spec sheet. Perhaps that why it dominated WorldSSP Championship in recent years.

Performance

As stated earlier, Yamaha YZF-R6 is powered by mouth-watering specs.

Right off the bat, YZF-R6 gets a slimline CF die-cast magnesium rear subframe with a lightweight aluminum fuel tank.

It is powered by a 599cc, 4-Cylinder, Liquid-cooled DOHC Engine which generates a max power of 118.4 PS at 14500rpm and max torque of 61.7Nm at 10500rpm. Moreover, it is mated to a 6-speed transmission with Quick Shift System (QSS).

Talking about the suspension setup, it gets fully adjustable R1 type front forks and an aluminum link-type rear swingarm.

Other lists of performance features include 6-position switchable TCS, YCC-T, YCC-I, ABS, and D-Mode.

Yamaha YZF-R6 Price in Nepal and Availability

Yamaha YZF-R6 is already in Nepal, and currently available for either purchase or booking. However, it is in limited numbers (reported to be less than 3) for the entire Nepali market.

As for the pricing, the Yamaha R6 price in Nepal is Rs. 39.99 Lakhs. Interestingly, the price makes the Yamaha R6 the most expensive Yamaha bike in Nepal.

Like I have stated earlier, Yamaha Nepal has brought four superbikes to Nepal. It includes the likes of Yamaha R6, Yamaha MT-09, Yamaha Bolt, and Yamaha TMax 560.

These bikes aren’t here to add to Yamaha’s portfolio, rather these are here to showcase Yamaha’s iconic legacy.

On a separate note, Yamaha has discontinued the street legal Yamaha R6 for the 2021 model year. So, this might be the last chance to grab one for yourself.
