Ulefone Enters the Nepali Market with Four Smartphone Models

Looks like 2018 will be the year for newcomers in the Nepali market. Companies like Bluboo and Tambo entered the market just this year. Now, another brand is gearing to make its name in Nepal.

Ulefone is a smartphone manufacturer based in Shenzen, China. It was established in 2005. Aditi Trade Link Pvt. Ltd. is the official distributor of Ulefone in Nepal. They have made four of their smartphones available right now. Available Ulefone mobiles in Nepal are Ulefone S7, Ulefone S7 Pro, Ulefone S8, and Ulefone Mix.

Ulefone S7

The cheapest of them all is the Ulefone S7. This phone is available for just Rs. 7,777. For the money, you are getting an entry level 1.3 GHz MediaTek processor. It is paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. For the money, these are expected specs. Normal tasks like calling and texting will be fine. Don’t game on the phone. The phone has a 5.0 inch HD screen, 8MP+5MP dual rear cameras and 2MP front camera. Bear in mind that the Ulefone S7 only supports 3G network.

Ulefone S7 Pro

The next smartphone is the Ulefone S7 Pro. The S7 and S7 Pro look identical out of the box. The only difference is on the inside. This phone ships with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The battery capacity is the same at 2500mAh. The rear camera modules have slightly improved, 13MP+5MP instead of the 8MP+5MP. Even the front camera has been upgraded to 5MP. The phone still doesn’t support 4G.

Ulefone S8

Ulefone S8 is like the better-designed version of the S7 Pro. The bezels look smaller. There are dual 8MP+5MP cameras on the back. The screen is a 5.3-inch 720p panel. The phone has a 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The performance will feel smoother than on the S7 and similar to the S7 Pro. The battery is larger at 3000mAh. This phone might be able to give you an all-day battery life with moderate usage. One con of this phone is that it still doesn’t support 4G network. It is stuck in 3G. The Ulefone S8 is priced at Rs. 12,677. If you don’t care that much about design, the S7 Pro may be a better deal.

Ulefone Mix

The priciest phone of the bunch is the Ulefone Mix. This phone costs Rs. 22,995 and looks like Xiaomi Mi Mix. The only bezel on the phone is on the bottom, but it is a bit thicker than we’d like it to be. While the phone looks beautiful, it is not the most powerful you can find at the price. The 5.5-inch screen is an HD panel, not FullHD. The 1.5Ghz octa-core MediaTek processor is paired with 4GB RAM.

This means your multitasking will be a generally smooth experience but the processor isn’t capable of playing demanding games without dropping some frames. The 64GB internal storage is plenty for the price. But if you spend Rs. 22K, you can get the Xiaomi Mi A1 with a better performance. However, if you are in love with how the Ulefone Mix looks, this is the only phone like this in the price range.
