Motorola as a brand shined quite brightly in 2025, especially with launches like the Moto G35 and Moto G05. And now in 2026, CG Mobiles, the official distributor of Motorola devices in Nepal, has introduced two new smartphones: the Moto G57 Power and Moto G06 Power. Here we will mainly focus on the G06 Power

For those unfamiliar, Motorola’s “Power” series is mainly focused on battery endurance, typically offering larger batteries and better longevity compared to the standard variants.
What is the Price of Motorola Moto G06 Power in Nepal?
The Motorola Moto G06 Power price in Nepal starts at Rs. 18,999 for the sole 4/64GB variant, which honestly feels fairly reasonable for a budget smartphone now that we are deep into 2026.
The phone has officially launched and is now available for purchase through Motorola-authorized stores across Nepal.
Last year, the Moto G05 had a very good reputation. It carried Motorola’s classic vegan leather design, offered excellent price-to-performance value, and most importantly, featured a centered punch-hole display, which is still quite rare in the budget segment.
So despite being a budget phone, it never really looked cheap. And the pricing made it an even easier recommendation, launching at just Rs. 12,000.
In short, the G05 was genuinely great, which naturally means expectations for the G06 Power are pretty high. But when a phone sets the bar that high, the only direction left is down. So does the Moto G06 Power fall short or exceed its predecessor? Let’s dive into the overview and find out.
Motorola Moto G06 Power Overview

The Moto G06 Power, like every Motorola phone, sticks with that vegan leather look paired with a plastic frame, so it definitely looks like a Motorola. Comparing it with the predecessor, the G05, the phone has gotten bigger on all sides, height, width, and especially thickness, now sitting at 8.8mm.
That is largely thanks to the chunky 7,000mAh battery, which makes the G06 Power the first phone in the under Rs. 20,000 segment to offer this much battery capacity in 2026. Previously, that spot was held by the Redmi 15, which costs Rs. 25,000.
With that chunky battery comes a weight of 220g, which is quite heavy, and you will definitely feel it in your pocket. The charging, however, remains the same 18W as the G05, so you will be sitting for quite a while going from zero to a hundred.
On the bright side, the G06 Power is now more water resistant with an IP64 rating, up from IP54 on the G05.
But here is where things start to fumble. The display now runs a water drop notch, compared to the punch hole notch on the G05, which is a significant step backwards. And it does not end there. The brightness in HBM mode has also dropped to just 600 nits, down from 1,000 nits last year, so better get ready to squint in direct sunlight.

The only display upgrade is the screen size, now at 6.88 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate. But that is what most budget smartphones offer these days, so it barely counts as a win.
On the audio front, the G06 Power comes with a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support.
Moving to performance, the G06 Power still runs the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme SoC, offering similar performance to the popular Unisoc T7250, both very common chips at this price range.

For memory, the G06 Power comes with 4GB RAM paired with 64GB of built-in storage and a dedicated microSD card slot supporting up to 1TB. There are also 8GB RAM variants with 128GB or 256GB storage available globally, but sadly, those are not coming to Nepal.
For the camera, the phone features a 50MP main shooter paired with an 8MP selfie camera, the same setup as last year. Nothing new here.
And lastly, another big disappointment comes in the software department. It ships with Android 15, and yes, it is mid-2026, and Android 17 is almost around the corner. So disappointingly, we are getting a two-year-old Android version out of the box. That said, Motorola’s lightweight Hello UI is pretty clean and offers a near-stock Android experience, which is something at least.

The Moto G06 Power retains the legacy of the G05 in the ways that matter most: the iconic vegan leather design, clean near-stock software, and solid build quality are all still here. But this time around, Motorola has clearly shifted focus. Where the G05 was about looking premium on a budget, the G06 Power is all about one thing: battery life.
The trade-offs? the water drop notch, the dimmer display, and Android 15 in mid-2026, are real and worth acknowledging. But if you go in knowing what this phone is built for, you will not be disappointed. It is not trying to be the G05. It is trying to be the phone that outlasts everything else at this price, and it does exactly that.
