Realme C12 with Helio G35 Gets a Price Drop in Nepal

Realme C12 has received a price drop in Nepal.

Realme C12 price in Nepal is now Rs. 14,990 instead of Rs. 16,990 for the 3/32GB variant. It gets a decent price drop of Rs. 2,000.

Realme C12 is an upgrade to the Realme C11 which was launched last year in Nepal. Let’s see what the Realme C12 is packing.

Realme C12 Overview

Design

Realme C12 has the exact design language as that of the Realme C11. It has a plastic back and a plastic frame with a square-shaped camera module. However, it adds the fingerprint sensor which is missing on the Realme C11.

On the front, it has a waterdrop notch just like the Realme C11.

Display

Realme C12 also has the same 6.5 inches IPS LCD display that we see on the C11. It is an HD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels.

The screen has a decent 81.7% screen to body ratio with 270 PPI density. The side bezels look thin but the bottom chin looks thick as it usually does in smartphones at this range.

Hardware

We don’t get to see any upgrade in terms of power. Realme C12 is also using the Helio G35 chipset that’s available on the Realme C11.

It has an Octa-core 2.3 GHz CPU with 8 Cortex-A53 cores. And, it has a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. We get a larger 3GB RAM but the same 32GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage.

So, it’s sad to see that we are not getting an upgrade in terms of power. Also, Realme’s own Realme C3 has a better chipset for a similar price tag.

Camera

Moving on to the camera, Realme C12 has a triple camera setup. We get a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP monochrome sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. So, we are getting a macro sensor and a monochrome sensor instead of just an additional 2MP depth sensor compared to Realme C11.

On the front, there’s a 5MP sensor for selfies. It looks like the same sensor used on the C11. Realme C12 can capture 1080p@30fps videos from both the rear and front camera.

Battery

Finally, we get to see an upgrade and it comes as a boost to battery life. While the Realme C11 has a 5000 mAh battery, Realme C12 has a 6000 mAh battery. It should be able to last almost 2 days under average usage.

However, there is no fast charging support still and it gets a normal 10W charging.

Furthermore, it runs on realme UI 1.0 on top of Android 10.

Realme C12 Price in Nepal and Availability

Realme C12 price in Nepal is Rs. 14,990 after a price cut of Rs. 2,000 on its original price of Rs. 16,990.

So, Realme C12 looks like another variant of the Realme C11. We get a bigger RAM, a bigger battery, a fingerprint sensor, and an extra camera sensor. While the former three are good updates, the macro sensor is not as appealing. Also, they are sticking with the same Helio G35 chipset.

Realme’s own Realme C3 has a better chipset, the Helio G70 for the same price. Also, Redmi 9 is available with Helio G80 and a quad-camera setup with an ultrawide angle camera for a similar price. Realme C12 has a bigger battery than these phones but on paper, it lags behind these competitors.
