Nubia, a brand best known for its REDMAGIC gaming lineup, made a comeback in Nepal in early 2025 with two budget offerings: the Nubia V70 Max and the Nubia V70 Design.
What stood out to me about these phones was their design and build quality. They feature a distinct look and a surprisingly premium construction, something rarely seen in budget devices. And it looks like they’re continuing this trend with their all-new ZTE Nubia A56.
What is the price of the Nubia A56 in Nepal?
The Nubia A56 price in Nepal is at Rs. 11,999 (4/128GB), and it comes with an 18-month warranty. The phone is available for purchase via authorized retail stores and e-commerce platforms.
ZTE is also offering a 0% interest EMI option, making the device even more accessible.
Interestingly, the Nubia A56 appears to be a rebranded version of the ZTE Blade A56. Still, for an entry-level phone, it brings some exciting features to the table.
So, let’s dive into the specs and see how it stacks up.

ZTE Nubia A56 Overview
Design
The Nubia A56 features a large rear camera module highlighted by a champagne gold outline and a distinctive red accent. While this design choice certainly makes the phone stand out in its segment, it does feel a bit too loud for my taste.
The device has an all-plastic build, but the polished rear panel gives it a glass-like appearance, adding a touch of elegance. I also appreciate the small detail of the red-accented power button, a subtle yet stylish touch.
Moving to the front, the Nubia A56 features an outdated drop-notch and relatively thick bezels. That said, at this price point, it’s hardly even a minor inconvenience.
The rest of the design is fairly standard: the right side houses the volume rockers, while the bottom packs in a 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB Type-C port, and a speaker. Likewise, the Nubia A56 is available in just two color options: Celestial Black and Floating Gold.
Display
Nubia A56 rocks a massive 6.75-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. While that’s a decent offering for the price, some competitors now provide 120Hz panels for a similar price tag.
The claimed brightness of 500 nits (HBM) also seems decent for the price. That said, using it under direct sunlight might be a bit uncomfortable, a common issue with entry-level phones.
Hardware
The Nubia A56 runs on specs that are fairly typical for this price segment, featuring the UNISOC T7200 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage. You can expand the storage further with a microSD card, up to 1TB.
On the plus side, it also supports a virtual memory feature, which can boost the RAM up to a total of 12GB. Similarly, it is SGS certified for 50 months of fluid performance.
Camera
The Nubia A56 has three sensors on the rear, but only the 13MP main sensor proves to be truly useful. The other two are unspecified auxiliary sensors.
On the front, it sports an 8MP selfie camera. Both the front and rear cameras can record videos up to 1080p at 30fps.
Battery and OS
The Nubia A56 comes with a standard 5000mAh battery, paired with 10W wired charging. While the battery capacity is decent for the price, the 10W charging feels a bit outdated, especially since some competitors in this segment have already adopted 15W or 18W charging.
In terms of OS, it runs on Android 15 out of the box with MyOS. To top it off, Nubia A56 also comes with Google Gemini by default.
Nubia A56 Price in Nepal and Availability
The Nubia A56 price in Nepal is Rs. 11,999 for the 4/128GB variant. You can purchase this phone via authorized stores across the country. Moreover, it is also available via EMI at 0% interest rate.
Nubia Phones | Price in Nepal |
---|---|
Nubia A56 [4/128GB] | Rs. 11,999 |
Nubia A56 is a good option in the entry-level category with a really good spec sheet. However, it has to compete with very good phones like the Infinix Smart 10 Plus and Redmi A5. Both of these phones offer slightly better hardware and a mature software experience. Nonetheless, Nubia A56 also looks enticing.
