Vivo Y28 4G with 6000mAh Battery Launching Soon in Nepal

Vivo, the Chinese tech company, recently announced its latest budget smartphone, the Vivo Y28 4G, which is scheduled for launch in Nepal soon.

The Vivo Y28 4G is Vivo’s latest budget smartphone, designed with a stylish look and a mix of lower to mid-range features. It includes a MediaTek processor, a 90Hz LCD screen, dual cameras, and a large 6000mAh battery, all housed in an IP64 dust and water-resistant body.

Vivo Y28 4G Overview

Design

The Vivo Y28 resembles the Vivo Y03 and Vivo Y18 but is more refined and premium-looking. It has a boxy appearance with a flat rear panel and flat side rails.

The side rails house the fingerprint sensor/power button, volume buttons, and the SIM card tray. At the bottom, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C charging port next to the main speaker grille

The rear cameras, flash module, and ‘Dynamic Light’ are enclosed within a square-shaped island that has a sunburst finish. The camera island is surrounded by a diamond-patterned metallic trim.

Display

The display is an LCD panel that has a centrally located hole punch cutout for the selfie camera. The 6.68-inch screen has a resolution of 720 x 1608 px and a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz.

The asymmetrical display has a HBM that can reach up to 1000 nits.

Hardware

The Vivo Y28 smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chip. The 12nm CPU is an octa-core chip that has 2x high-powered cores and 6x efficiency cores. Handling the graphics is a Mali G52 graphics processor.

In terms of storage options, The phone comes in a single 256/8GB variant that supports memory expansion via a microSD card.

Alongside these essential features, Vivo has included two Hi-Res dual speakers and a nifty ‘Dynamic Light’ on the rear camera island. The Dynamic Light serves a functional purpose like informing about calls, notifications, etc.

Cameras

For cameras, the Vivo Y28 4G comes with a 50MP main camera that’s accompanied by a 2MP bokeh camera. There is an 8MP, f/2.05 selfie camera on the front.

Both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording videos.

Battery and OS

Powering the smartphone is a sizeable 6000mAh Li-ion battery that supports Vivo’s 44W Flash Charge fast charging. The battery also supports Smart Charging Engine 2.0.

Talking about OS, the Y28 4G comes with Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 skin applied on top.

Vivo Y28 4G Price in Nepal and Availability

The Vivo Y28 4G price in Nepal is yet to be announced officially. However, looking at its specs, we can expect the Y28 4G to start retailing from Rs. 21,000 in Nepal.

After launch, it will be available for purchase in Vivo-authorized retailers and online e-commerce stores.

The Vivo Y28 offers a combination of features found in smartphones that are in the lower to mid-range category. It has a MediaTek processor, a 90Hz LCD screen, dual cameras, and a 6000mAh battery.
