Design

The Umidigi G1 Buds look very standard. They have a long stem with labels and the buds themselves are the standard type. It does borrow some design elements from the Apple AirPods 3. The earbuds are also pretty lightweight at 2.8gm each.

Talking about the case itself, it’s a circular-shaped one with a glossy finish. There’s only a single color option: Apple white, for the earbuds. The case weighs 29gm which is pretty standard for something its size.

The earbuds feature a 13mm Titanized diaphragm driver. You can also perform actions using the touch controls on the earbuds.

There is no official latency rating and the earphones operate in a frequency range of 20Hz-20KHz with support for SBC/AAC audio codecs.

While Umidigi hasn’t specified the mAh rating of the earbuds, they have claimed up to 6 hours of listening time with a single charge and up to 15 hours with the case.

Overall, the Umidigi G1 Buds looks like a decent TWS given its price range. If you’re not looking to spend a ton for wireless earbuds, these may be ones to consider.

The design of the earbuds does imitate the Airpods a bit and the claimed battery life of up to 15 hours is not the greatest we’ve seen on earbuds. There’s also no IP rating but for the price, there’s not much room to complain as well.
