Tecno Spark Go 1 with Dual Speaker Launched in Nepal

Tecno today launched the Tecno Spark Go 1 in Nepal. It is an entry-level phone in the Tecno’s Spark series.

Tecno Spark Go 1 Overview

Design

The Tecno Spark Go 1 has a squircle rear camera island. The design resembles a dual camera setup arranged diagonally, but only one of them is a real, useful camera. The other is an infrared (IR) blaster to control TVs, ACs, and set-top boxes.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 will be available in three color options in Nepal: startrail black, glittery white, and lime green. The phone is rated for IP54 ingress protection, meaning it is dust- and splash-resistant.

The bottom side of the phone has a speaker, a USB-C port, a mic, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Likewise, power and volume buttons are on the right side. The power button doubles as a fingerprint sensor. The phone has a dual speaker setup, so the secondary speaker is on the top side along the noise-canceling microphone.

Display

The device has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) resolution. Interestingly, the display of the Tecno Spark Go 1 features a 120Hz refresh rate support.

It also has a modern look thanks to the punch-hole cutout instead of the waterdrop one.

Hardware

The phone is powered by a Unisoc T615 chipset based on 12nm process technology. It is a new processor and the Tecno Spark Go 1 is one of the first phones to come with it.

It is an entry-level octa-core processor with two 1.8GHz Cortex-A75 cores and six 1.6GHz Cortex-A55 cores. Based on the cores, the Unisoc T615 is the toned-down version of the T616, which is necessarily not a bad thing considering the price.

As for the memory, the device has LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. The configurations available in Nepal are 3GB RAM and 64GB storage, 4GB RAM 64GB storage, and 4GB RAM 128GB storage.

Camera

The Spark Go 1 has a single 13MP main camera on the rear. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera. Both the front and back camera can shoot up to 1080p video at 30fps.

Battery and OS

Fueling the Tecno Spark Go 1 is a 5000mAh battery. The charging has been improved from 10W to 15W, which still will take a couple of hours to charge fully.

In terms of software, the Tecno Spark Go 1 runs on Android 14 Go edition topped with HiOS 14.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 price in Nepal is Rs. 11,990 (3/64GB), Rs. 12,690 (4/64GB), and Rs. 13,990 (4/128GB). The phone is available for purchase at retail stores and Daraz.
