Tecno on October 19 launched its new smartphone Tecno Spark 8C in Nepal. The phone was first unveiled in Nigeria in late January 2022.
The Tecno Spark 8C price in Nepal is Rs. 14,990 (3/64GB). The phone is available at mobile retail stores across Nepal.

Tecno Spark 8C Overview
Design
Tecno Spark 8C has a plastic body. It has three camera circles — although not all are real cameras — a flash, and a fingerprint sensor at the back enclosed by a huge black square.
And the right portion of the back side has a vertical striped design with “STOP AT NOTHING” written on it. Power and volume buttons are located on the right side of the device, while the bottom has a 3.5mm headphone jack, mic, Micro-USB port, and a speaker.

Display
The phone has a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. A high refresh rate display on an entry-level phone is not common; it’s nice to see Tecno Spark 8C comes with one.
Users can choose to set the refresh rate to 60Hz, 90Hz, or auto. The display has a waterdrop notch and fairly sized bezels for a budget phone.
Hardware
The phone is powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset. The T606 is an entry-level chipset with two Arm Cortex-A75 performance cores running and six Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, all running at up to 1.6GHz.
The processor is paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The phone also has something called “Memory Fusion,” which basically means that the phone can use its slow storage to expand the RAM to up to 6GB.
Camera
Tecno Spark 8C features a 13MP main camera accompanied by an AI camera. The front has an 8MP selfie camera.
Battery and OS
It comes with a 5000mAh battery. Unfortunately, it does not support fast charging, which is to be expected for an entry-level phone.
The phone boots on HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 (Go edition).
