Samsung Galaxy F42 Receives a Price Cut in Nepal with Cashback Offer

Samsung is giving cashback on the purchase of the recently launched Samsung Galaxy F42 5G. The phone was officially launched about a week ago.

The phone’s specs were underwhelming given the price, and Samsung was well aware of this. As a result, the Galaxy F42’s price has been reduced.

After the cashback, the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 31,999 for 6/128GB and Rs. 34,999 for 8/128GB variant. The official prices were Rs. 34,999 for the 6GB variant and Rs. 38,999 for the 8GB variant.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is the second phone from Samsung’s F Series to launch in Nepal. Comparing with the Samsung Galaxy F22, the major differences we see are the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and an FHD+ 90Hz TFT display.

On the front are the same outdated dewdrop notch and a visible chin.

It has a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

However, this time Samsung has gone for a TFT display instead of an AMOLED.

Hardware

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G. This chipset enables the phone to have 5G connectivity.

It’s built on a 7nm process node and has eight cores consisting of two Cortex-A76 clocked at up to 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 clocked at up to 2GHz; and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The phone comes with 6/8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Camera

Galaxy F42 5G has a triple-camera setup comprising of a 64MP primary camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth camera.

On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera.

Battery and Others

Powering the phone is a 5000mAh battery. It charges via USB-Type C and supports 15W fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G was officially launched at the price of Rs. 34,999 and 38,999 for the 6GB and 8GB models, respectively. However, Samsung is currently offering cashback on the purchase of the F42 5G.

Therefore, the Galaxy F42 5G is currently available in Nepal for Rs. 31,999 for the 6/128GB and Rs. 34,999 for the 8/128GB variant.

The phone is available at all Samsung authorized stores in Nepal.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is another F series phone from Samsung to launch here in Nepal. The phone is equipped with Dimensity 700 which can be found in much cheaper phones such as Poco M3 Pro 5G.

And, this time, Samsung decided to go with a TFT display which is a major drawback, especially for a phone of this price range. Even entry-level phones are coming with at least an IPS LCD panel, and here, this phone—a mid-range phone, that was supposed to come with an AMOLED display—comes with a TFT display.
