What is the Price of Redmi A5 in Nepal?
The Redmi A5 price in Nepal is Rs. 10,999 for the 3GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The higher 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 11,999. The phone is available for purchase at official and authorized stores all across Nepal.
Xiaomi is also offering a two-year warranty on the phone, making it the only one in the segment to ensure such an extended peace of mind, according to the company.
This warranty covers repair for any hardware and software-related issues, excluding the battery and charger. However, these components aren’t entirely left out, as customers still enjoy a six-month warranty on both.
The Redmi A5 replaces the A3 as the brand’s entry-level offering. While it’s an overall upgrade to its predecessor, which would typically warrant a price hike.
Xiaomi has instead carried over its competitive pricing momentum from its recently launched semi-flagship and top-of-the-line offerings, slashing the price on the Redmi A5 by 1,000 rupees compared to the A3.

Redmi A5 Overview
Design
The Redmi A5 gets a fresh new design this year, marking a big departure from the circular camera module seen on the A3 and A4. Instead, Xiaomi has gone with a cleaner, linear camera layout—reminiscent of the latest Samsung A and M-series devices.
On the right side, you’ll find the usual setup: a power button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor, and the volume rocker. The bottom edge houses the USB-C port and speaker grille, keeping things familiar.
The plastic back and frame make the Redmi A5 feel cheap, but I guess that’s expected at this price range. On the bright side, Xiaomi has added a nice visual touch with the finishes.
The Ocean Blue and Lake Green variants feature a brushed plastic back that mimics the look of glass, giving them a more premium vibe. Meanwhile, the Sandy Gold and Midnight Black options stick to a basic polymer plastic finish.

Display
The Redmi A5 has a massive 6.88-inch IPS LCD screen with an HD+ (1650 x 720 pixels) resolution. The combination of the huge screen with comparatively low resolution means the phone will have a pixel density of just 260ppi.
So, the visuals won’t be the sharpest, and finer details might appear soft. Still, considering the phone’s budget-friendly price tag, we can overlook it.
The display on the Redmi A5 scores a big win with its 120Hz refresh rate—an impressive addition in the budget segment that makes everyday use feel much smoother. However, its peak brightness tops out at just 450 nits, which could be a struggle under direct sunlight or in brightly lit environments.
Another bummer is that the Redmi A5 also does not include any display protection, according to Xiaomi’s official website. The Redmi A3 offered a level of comfort with the Gorilla Glass 3, so this omission here feels like a step back.
Finally, the Redmi A5 has TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly Certification.
Hardware
Moving to the hardware side of things, the new UNISOC T7250 powers the Redmi A5. The processor is a rebranded version of the UNISOC T615 seen on the Tecno Spark Go 1, which happens to be one of its key competitors in the same price bracket.
The processor is an octa-core chip with 4x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 and 4x 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 processors, and the graphics are handled by a Mali G57 MP1.
The base variant comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage. There is also a 4GB + 128GB variant for users wanting more storage. The phone also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot whose maximum supported expansion hasn’t been officially specified.
Camera
The rear has a 32MP main and a 0.3MP auxiliary camera, all housed inside the linear camera module.
As expected in this price range, the camera setup is pretty basic—definitely not the phone’s strong suit, but that’s a common trade-off in the budget segment.
The front has an 8MP selfie camera housed inside a waterdrop notch on the display. Both the front and back cameras can shoot videos up to 1080p at 30fps.
Battery and OS
Redmi has included a 5200mAh battery with 15W fast charging for the A5.
Unlike its predecessor, the Redmi A3, which ran on full-fledged Android 14 with MIUI skin applied on top, the A5 runs on Android 15 (Go Edition). Given that the Go edition of the OS is especially optimized for low-end devices, we could get a much smoother experience on the Redmi A5.
Redmi A5 Price in Nepal and Availability
The Redmi A5 price in Nepal is Rs. 10,999 for the 3/64GB and Rs. 11,999 for the 4/128GB variant. The phone comes with a two-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering any hardware or software-related issue that may arise. Meanwhile, the battery and charger are only covered for six months instead.
Redmi A5 | Price in Nepal | OFFERS |
---|---|---|
3/64GB | Rs. 11,999 | Two-year warranty |
4/128GB | Rs. 13,999 | Two-year warranty |
Xiaomi intends to make a mark on the entry-level market in Nepal with the Redmi A5, as the company has dropped the price from its previous offering. It stands out with features like a 120Hz refresh rate—an impressive spec for the price.
However, it does come with a few compromises: no screen protection or IP rating, limited brightness, and a budget look with its thick chin and waterdrop notch.
All these trade-offs open the door for alternatives like the Tecno Spark Go 1, a worthy contender for the Redmi A5.
