Realme 12x 5G with a 120Hz Display Expected to Arrive in Nepal Soon

The Realme 12x 5G, the successor to the Realme 11x, is expected to launch in Nepal soon. Nepalese customers might get the Indian variant exclusively.

The Realme 12x 5G comes with an IPS LCD display, MediaTek Dimensity processor, dual cameras, and a 5000mAh battery. The smartphone is identical to the Realme 12 in terms of design as well as real-world performance. The slight deviations in specs appear different in paper only.

Realme 12x 5G Overview

Design

The Realme 12x 5G smartphone has a design language similar to its other 12 series cousins. It comes with a matte finish plastic rear panel with two diamond-patterned vertical lines running from the top to bottom.

The power button/fingerprint sensor and volume rockers are located on the right side. The hybrid SIM card slot and secondary speaker grille are positioned at the top, while the bottom houses the 3.5mm jack, USB-C port, and main speaker grille.

The phone features a large black-colored camera module that houses the cameras and flash module inside. Realme describes this design as inspired by the stylish aesthetics of trendy watches, The sunburst design dial is surrounded by a metallic band.

For added protection, the smartphone is IP54 dust and water-resistant.

Display

The 12x 5G smartphone has a 6.67-inch punch-hole display surrounded by relatively thick bezels on all sides. The smartphone sports a chin which gives the display an asymmetrical look.

The IPS LCD display of this smartphone has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and can reach a maximum brightness of 950nits. Additionally, the smartphone has a dynamic refresh rate display that changes between 45 to 120Hz.

Hardware

Powering the Realme 12x 5G smartphone is a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor. The 6nm octa-core chip has 2x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 high-performance cores and 6x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. Handling the graphics is a Mali-G57 processor.

In terms of memory configurations, the phone offers three options: 128GB storage with 4GB RAM, 128GB storage with 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage with 8GB RAM. The specific variants that will be available in Nepal will be confirmed and updated here later. Additionally, all models support microSD card expansion.

Talking about extra features, the smartphone comes with air gesture support, dual speakers, and a vapor chamber for cooling.

Camera

Moving on to the camera setup, the Realme 12x 5G features a dual-camera system. The primary camera is a 50MP f/1.8 lens accompanied by a 2MP macro lens with an f/2.4 aperture.

Completing the camera array is an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. Both the rear and selfie cameras can record videos up to 1080p at 30 fps.

Battery and OS

The Realme 12x comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Realme claims that the battery can charge from 1 to 50% in just 30 minutes.

The 12x 5G runs on Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0 skin applied on top.

A standout software feature of the 12x 5G is its customizable power button, termed the ‘Dynamic Button’ by Realme.

This feature enables users to assign various functions and applications such as flashlight, mute, camera, music, and more directly to the power button according to their preferences.

Realme 12x 5G Price in Nepal and Availability

The Realme 12x 5G price in Nepal has yet to be announced officially. However, based on its pricing in India, the smartphone will likely start retailing from Rs. 22,000 in Nepal.

After its launch, the phone will be available for purchase on various e-commerce platforms and at physical retail outlets throughout Nepal.
