All the way back in November 2025, we got to see the first phone in the A6 series, the A6 Pro. Not too long after, OPPO launched the A6c, and now, just a few months later, the company is back with yet another addition to the lineup, the OPPO A6s Pro.

The A6c is the fifth phone in the A6 series to arrive in Nepal. Honestly, the A6 lineup naming has gotten a bit confusing at this point, with the A6x, A6 Pro, A6c, and now the A6s Pro. And this confusion doesn’t really help OPPO’s case either, especially when the brand is already losing ground in Nepal’s smartphone market.

So where does the OPPO A6s Pro sit in the A6 series pecking order? Let’s find out.

The OPPO A6s Pro is the most expensive phone in the A6 series, which makes it the most premium offering in the lineup as well. And interestingly, it’s not all that different from the OPPO A6 Pro.

We’ll discuss how it’s an upgrade over the OPPO A6 Pro, but you can probably guess the difference from its name alone. Try to guess it before we reach the end of the article.

OPPO A6s Pro Overview

The A6s Pro shares the same dimensions as the OPPO A6 Pro. The only noticeable design change is the camera module, as it now features circular camera rings instead of octagonal ones. Likewise, it now has a circular ring-style flash module.

OPPO A6s Pro also gets the IP68/IP69K rating along with military-grade shock resistance that we saw on the A6 Pro. In terms of colorways, it comes in two options: Eclipse Blue and Lumina Forest.

Moving to the display, it’s identical to the A6 Pro. It’s the same 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1400 nits of brightness. It’s totally fine for the price until you find out that Infinix Note 60 gives you a 1.5k resolution AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1600 nits of brightness.

In terms of performance, the A6s Pro uses the MediaTek Helio G100 Max chipset. But it’s really just the same Helio G100 found on the A6 Pro; there’s nothing ‘Max’ about it. Moreover, you get the same 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage as well.

Have you guessed the main difference by now? Well, if you haven’t, you should know that it’s not the rear camera. It runs the same rear camera setup, with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP monochrome sensor. But the selfie camera has been upgraded from 16MP on the A6 Pro to a whopping 50MP on the A6s Pro. So the ‘s’ in the A6s Pro? That’s for the selfie camera.

The battery story stays the same too: a massive 7000mAh cell with 80W SUPERVOOC charging, just like the A6 Pro. And it’s still one of the bigger reasons to consider this phone. While most brands are only just now bumping their batteries up to 6000 or 6500mAh from the standard 5000mAh, OPPO’s been sitting comfortably ahead in this department.

Finally, it also gets the newer version of Android, running ColorOS 16 on top of Android 16, unlike the A6 Pro, which is still on Android 15.

Compared to the A6 Pro, you’re mainly getting a much-improved selfie camera and a newer version of Android. Everything else, from the chipset to the display to the rear cameras and battery, stays largely the same. That said, if a great front camera and the latest software matter to you, the upgrade does make some sense.

But the OPPO A6s Pro isn’t an enticing smartphone to begin with. The likes of the Infinix Note 60 or the Poco X7 Pro offer far better value, with superior displays, processors, and cameras.
