Omoda and Jaecoo Join NPL 2024 as Official ‘Driven By’ Partners

Omoda & Jaecoo Nepal are proud to announce their role as co-sponsors of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024, which will be organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).

The sponsorship was formally introduced during a MOU signing ceremony held on November 26, 2024. This event was attended by notable representatives from CAN, including Mr. Paras Khadka, Secretary of the Cricket Association of Nepal; Mr. Shivratan Sharda, Chairman of Sharda Group; and Mr. Gaurav Sharda, Director of SPG Automobiles, along with other members of the management team from SPG Automobiles and NPL.

The inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League is scheduled to take place at Tribhuvan International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur from November 30 to December 21, 2024.

Mr. Gaurav Sharda indicated that the partnership involving Omoda & Jaecoo is aimed at advancing the cricketing landscape in Nepal. He emphasized that this collaboration will enhance the development of cricket within the country and contribute positively to the overall cricketing framework.

Reflecting this, the Sharda Group has announced the Omoda 5 EV as its grand prize to the best-performing Nepali player in the event.

It marks a historic prize in any sporting event in Nepal. Given that cricket is one of the most widely followed sports in Nepal, this sponsorship represents an important opportunity to engage with a passionate fan base.

It is anticipated that this initiative will significantly promote the growth of cricket while also fostering the long-term success of the league, ultimately providing young Nepali players with invaluable international experience.
