After a successful launch of two Obi smartphone SF1 & SJ1.5 by Jyoti Group, a new model MV1 has been launched in the Nepali Market. It is a premium design smartphone, with many features to play with. It will be available at various retail stores across Nepal and SastoDeal as an online partner. It is priced at NPR 15,610.
The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor. However, the spotlight of this phone is it runs on a Cyanogen OS 12.1.1. This opens a new line for personalization and enhancement of security including PIN scramble, Privacy Guard, Protected Apps and an integrated True Caller application within the phone dialer. It comes with a 5-inch HD 720 * 1280 IPS screen which is made from the ultra-durable Gorilla Glass 3 and is also paired with an oleophobic coating to keep the screen neat and clean.
It offers a dual micro-SIM card slots which can be unlocked without any restriction across networks and also the phone has 4G service. The MV1 also comes with an additional Micro SD card slot to expand the stock memory of 16 GB up to 64GB of additional memory. The RAM is allocated with 2GB of memory which keeps the phone at its peak performance. It has Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor. However, the Gyroscope is missing.
The Obi MV1 has a unique design that gives it a stylish and a premium look. It has rounded corners at the bottom but the top edge cuts off sharply, with right angles that stand out. It seems to be a hybrid form of previous phones SF1 and SJ1.5. Regarding audio, it comes with a DTS sound which gives an immersive headphone experience and it has a good loudspeaker sound as well. This phone comes with 8 MP rear camera with flash and 2MP front facing Camera. It can capture videos on 1080p with a frame rate of 30fps. It is also equipped with a 2500 mAh Li-ion battery which is enough for a moderate day use.
