Ncell Axiata Limited, a mobile service provider in Nepal, has announced that it has reduced the tariff for local calls, making it more affordable for customers to make voice calls from their main balance.
The new rate of Pay As You Go (PAYG), which is a flat rate of Rs. 1.62 per minute excluding taxes, took effect on January 01, 2023, and applies to all networks in the country.
Prior to this reduction, the voice call charge to any local network from Ncell was Rs. 1.99 per min excluding applicable taxes.
With the implementation of this new rate, customers will be able to make local on-net and off-net calls at Rs. 2.05 per min including applicable taxes, down from the previous Rs. 2.52 per min.
Ncell has stated that the new flat call rate adds great value for customers to stay connected, enabling them to take benefit from longer on-net and off-net voice calls without any package. It further states that it is committed to providing a great customer experience, making its services more affordable, reliable, and accessible.
In September 2022 and November 2022, Ncell launched its eSIM service and VoLTE service in the Nepalese market.
