Ncell and Axiata Group has unveiled the brand new logo of Ncell today (August 16, Tuesday). Axiata Group Berhad, a Malaysian telecommunications giant that has established itself in 10 countries of Southeast and South Asia has acquired Ncell from TeliaSonera, a Swedish telecommunications giant. As per the statement published on the Ncell site, Axiata is the sole investor in Reynold Holdings, which holds 80% share of Ncell.

The re-branding of the Ncell’s logo marks the beginning of a new chapter of the company. Ncell and Axiata are committed over the long-term, to invest and contribute to Nepal’s development by building quality network and bringing connectivity in the remote areas of the country.
Along with the changes in the company’s logo, the URL of the site has also been changed. Now, it’s ncell.axiata.com which before used to be ncell.com.np. Talking about the logo, it now has an Axiata emblem at the top replacing the TeliaSonera stone. And, the font used in the logo is Axiata font of Axiata Group itself.
Ncell’s Managing Director, Simon Perkins said, “Ncell is more than just a mobile network provider; we are a responsible corporate citizen of Nepal, and committed to work closely with the Nepal government in the country’s ambition to achieve socio-economic prosperity.”
He added, “We are delighted to have the support of Axiata, one of Asia’s leading telecommunication groups, which is at the forefront of digital and technological developments in our sector and who comes to Nepal with an impeccable, pan-Asia track-record”.
To celebrate this new bond, the company has brought a new offer where it provides Ncell customers with 50 min of talk time and 500 SMS within the Ncell network. The offer is valid starting from today, August 16 to August 30. In order to redeem this offer, Ncell users should dial *17121#.
