KTM International Trading, the authorized distributor of Morbidelli bikes in Nepal, has officially entered the market with two new adventure models. Riding the wave of growing interest in the segment, fueled by bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure and CFMoto 450 MT, the Morbidelli T250X and T352X aim to fit right in the middle.

These premium Italian machines promise to deliver a balance of capability, style, and value, giving Nepali riders fresh options in the adventure space without pushing prices into the ultra-premium range.

Morbidelli is a historic Italian motorcycle brand founded in 1959 by Giancarlo Morbidelli. It earned global recognition in Grand Prix racing, securing world championship titles in the 125cc class in 1975, 1976, and 1977, and in the 250cc class in 1977. The brand maintained its presence in the racing scene until 1982.

In 2024, Morbidelli made its return under the MBP (Moto Bologna Passione) umbrella, which is part of the Qianjiang Group (QJ Motor), the same Chinese motorcycle manufacturer group behind Keeway and Benelli. Design

The Morbidelli T352X follows a modern adventure-touring silhouette. Its dual-tone paint scheme is paired with red accents on the exposed perimeter frame, giving it a premium and distinctive look in the segment.

The bodywork uses high-strength panels with sharp, angular lines that flow from the beak-style front fender into the tank shrouds. There’s a clear touch of Italian flair here, with an aggressive yet proportionate stance. The shrouds merge neatly into integrated side crash bars, offering both style and functional protection.

At the front, the T352X features a sleek full-LED headlamp cluster with split DRLs, flanked by integrated LED indicators. A tall, clear windscreen helps cut wind buffeting on highways, while sturdy knuckle guards provide extra protection off the road.

From the side, the sculpted fuel tank narrows into a stepped two-piece seat. The muscular body panels add to its strong road presence. An upswept exhaust improves water-wading ability compared to underbelly designs, whereas the dual-port exhaust gets a cool mesh-like design. The sharp tail section hosts a compact LED taillight and indicators. 

Similarly, the rear section panel has a visual flair to it, which other brands typically ignore. The rear luggage rack is both practical and well-integrated, providing ample space for panniers or bags without disrupting the design.

The Morbidelli T352X comes with a vertically stacked 7-inch TFT color display, one of the largest in its class. It delivers crisp, easy-to-read information, including speed, revs, clock, gear position, temperature, and more. All functions can be controlled through backlit handlebar-mounted switches, adding both convenience and a premium touch.

The system also supports full Morbidelli Connect integration, offering GPS navigation, an SOS emergency button, anti-theft tracking with remote engine shutdown, and one year of app access. Additionally, smartphone pairing via Bluetooth unlocks additional features, including screen mirroring for navigation and media.

Performance

Morbidelli T352X is powered by a 349.2cc Twin-Cylinder, 8-valve Liquid-Cooled Engine. It generates a max power of 41 PS at 10500rpm and a max torque of 31.5 Nm at 8500rpm. Moreover, it is mated to a 6-speed transmission with Assisted-Slipper Clutch and a large 18-liter fuel tank capacity. 

One of the T352X’s biggest advantages is its twin-cylinder engine. It is a rare find in a segment at this price point, as most are dominated by single-cylinder models. This setup brings smoother power delivery, reduced vibrations, and a more refined ride.

It is backed by a range of performance-focused features, including a Dual-Cable Throttle for sharper yet precise response. Riders can choose from three adaptable riding modes: Standard, Sport, and Off-road. These modes adjust ABS sensitivity, traction control, and throttle mapping to suit different conditions.

On the practical side, the T352X comes standard with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a USB charging port, making it well-prepared for both everyday use and long-distance touring.

The Morbidelli T352X is built around a perimeter frame paired with a steel double-sided swingarm. This choice leans toward stability and durability rather than outright aggressive off-road capability. Perimeter frames are known for their crash resistance and high-speed stability, making them well-suited for long-distance touring. The use of a steel swingarm, rather than lighter aluminum, further reinforces durability, even if it adds a bit of weight.

Suspension duties are handled by 41 mm USD front forks with 160 mm of travel, paired with a linkage-type rear shock absorber that offers preload adjustment and 56 mm of travel.

In terms of dimensions, the T352X measures 2,120 mm in length, 840 mm in width, and 1,210 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,405 mm.

Ground clearance is listed at 180 mm according to the official spec sheet, which is on the lower side for the segment. And, the kerb weight comes in at 180 kg.

The T250X features a single-cylinder engine with a more basic feature package, enabling it to be priced very competitively against other bikes in this segment.

The T352X, on the other hand, features a twin-cylinder engine along with a richer set of features. While its pricing sits higher than the T250X, it still comes across as competitive for its segment, considering the added performance, refinement, and equipment it offers.

Morbidelli T352X rivals the KTM 390 Adventure.

The KTM 390 Adventure still sets the benchmark for outright performance and advanced electronics in this class. It enjoys a 49.5cc displacement advantage over the Italian T352X, translating to an extra 5PS of power and 7.5Nm of torque, delivered between 6500–8500 rpm compared to the T352X’s 8500–10500 rpm range.

KTM’s advantage is not just about engine output. In features, the 390 Adventure runs circles around the competition with Cornering Traction Control, Cornering ABS, and Supermoto ABS. The T352X still puts up a decent fight in the electronics department, but it is not as comprehensive as KTM. Where it pulls ahead is in touring practicality. It carries a larger 18-liter fuel tank compared to KTM’s 14 liters, and its 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Trail tyres.

Price is the most important factor here. The Morbidelli T352X undercuts the KTM 390 Adventure by roughly Rs. 78,000. While that might tempt budget-conscious riders, the KTM’s blend of performance, equipment, and capability justifies the premium.

If stretching your budget is a bit too demanding, the KTM Enduro 390 R costs only Rs. 2,000 more than the T352X. It doesn’t just match the 390 Adventure’s capability, but manages to push it further while looking every bit as sharp.

For now, the T352X is not the top pick. It would need Morbidelli Nepal to establish strong after-sales support before it can be seriously recommended over the KTM.
