Xiaomi Re-Launches Mi Router 4C in Nepal at an Incredible Price!

Xiaomi launched the Mi Router 4C in Nepal back in July 2020. And now, Mi Nepal has re-launched the same product at an aggressive price tag.

The Mi Router 4C price in Nepal is Rs. 1,599 and it will soon be available via Xiaomi-approved stores and online partners.

It’s an update to the Mi Router 3C which is a single band router and the Mi Router 4C is also a single-band router.

Mi Router 4C Overview

Design

Mi Router 4C is a budget-oriented router that features four Omni-directional antennas and comes in the White color option. The dimensions of the router are 195×178.9×107 mm. 

It has a plastic build and looks quite minimal.

It has two LAN ports on the back and comes with a single power adapter.

Hardware

This is a single-band router and supports the 2.4GHz band with up to 300Mbps. 2.4GHz band provides a longer range but transmits data at slower speeds. And, it is also prone to interferences. So, if there are too many wifi networks around you then you will face some interference.

This router is powered by a MediaTek chipset inside along with 64GB DDR2 memory and 16MB Nor-Flash read-only memory. Xiaomi claims that it can connect up to 64 devices at a time.

Well, even if it can connect up to 64 devices, the internet is not going to handle it pretty well. But, it could do fine for a typical Nepali family with up to 12-14 family members.

Mi Wi-Fi App Control

It’s probably one of the best features of this router. Instead of logging in to the router each time, you can easily manage your network via the mobile app. You can download the Mi Wi-Fi app on your smartphone to manage your network from anywhere.

The app alerts your phone when a new device gets connected. You can block the device from connecting to the Wi-Fi router. Besides, there’s a QoS (Quality of Service) tool that helps you manage and allocate bandwidth as per requirement.

The app also comes with parental control as well with which you can control what your children can and can’t see.

This router can also be used as a repeater to extend the range of the existing router. You can change among various modes via the app as well or via the web interface.
