Lenovo V15 G3 Debuts in Nepal, Available in Two Variants

Nagmani International, the new authorized distributor of Lenovo laptops for Nepal, recently launched an entry-level 15-inch laptop, the Lenovo V15 G3, in the country. The laptop was launched globally in October of 2022 in the entry-level segment.

Nagmani International aims to target the budget-friendly laptop market in Nepal with Lenovo V15 G3. It comes with an Intel Core i7-1255U or Intel Core i5-1235U processor, Iris Xe graphics, and 16 GB (8 GB+8 GB) or 8 GB of memory; all in a relatively light form.

Lenovo V15 G3 Overview

Design

Color-wise, the Lenovo V15 G3 is offered in only one shade called “Iron Grey” in Nepal. The laptop has minimal branding with just the Lenovo logo on the lid and the palm rest.

The inside of the laptop is dual-toned. The bezel of the laptop is black in color whereas the keyboard, palm rest and trackpad are the same shade of gray as the rest of the body.

The V15 G3 comes with a non-backlit keyboard which may be difficult for users to use in low-light conditions. The laptop, however, comes with a dedicated number pad.

Display

The Lenovo V15 G3 comes with a 15-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio display. The screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 px with a pixel density of 158 ppi. The panel has a refresh rate of 60Hz.  

The anti-glare TN panel covers a 45% NTSC color gamut and has a peak brightness of 250 nits as stated by Lenovo. This provides sufficient visibility indoors. Outdoors though, the visibility can get low even when the screen is fully bright.

Hardware and Connectivity

The Lenovo V15 G3 is powered by Intel’s Core i7-1255U 12th Gen processor (2 performance and 8 efficiency) or Core i5-1235U 12th Gen processor (2 performance and 8 efficiency).

The performance cores have a maximum clock speed of 4.7 GHz in the Core i7-1255U variant and 4.4 GHz in the Core i5-1235U variant. Whereas, the efficiency cores max out at 3.5 GHz in the Core i7-1255U model and 3.3 GHz in the Core i5-1235U model.

The laptop comes with Intel’s Iris Xe integrated graphics processor. The Xe graphics is configured to run on dual-channel configuration only. Otherwise, the laptop will use Intel’s UHD graphics instead.

The Core i7-1255U variant of Lenovo V15 G3 comes with 16GB dual-channel memory (8GB soldered + 8GB removable) configuration out of the box. The Core i5-1235U comes with only 8 GB of soldered memory with one empty SO-DIMM slot.

Storage-wise, both i5 and i7 variant of the V15 G3 come with only one removable 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD installed. No extra expansion slots are available.

The Lenovo V15 G3 comes with a USB-A 2.0 port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port (support data transfer, Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.2), one HDMI 1.4b, one headphone/microphone combo jack (3.5mm), one Ethernet (RJ-45), and one Power connector.

Battery

Both the i5 and i7 variant of Lenovo V15 G3 come with a 45 Wh Lithium-Polymer battery. The battery is compatible with Lenovo’s Rapid Charge technology. For power, the laptop comes with a 65W 3-pin adapter in the box.

Lenovo V15 G3 Price in Nepal and Availability

Lenovo V15 G3 price in Nepal is Rs. 1,02,275 (Intel i7-1255U, 16/512 GB) and Rs. 79,545 (Intel i5-1235U, 8/512 GB). The laptop is available at the Nagmani store for purchase. It comes with a 1-year warranty.

Lenovo V15 G3 is mostly targeted towards users who want a portable computer but with a big screen real-estate. The laptop is ideal for light to moderate tasks like media consumption, internet browsing and document processing.
