Asus Vivobook Go 14 Overview

Design

The Vivobook Go features a 180° hinge body certified by US MIL-STD 810H military-grade standard. At only 1.79 cm in thickness, the Vivobook Go is a sleek laptop and is highly portable with a small size factor.

The front camera is placed at the top center and features a privacy shutter which is a welcome design. Asus has used their ErgoSense keyboard in the laptop which they claim enhances the typing experience. The fairly large touchpad also doubles as the Numpad.

Display

The Vivobook Go has a 14-inch LED backlit 1920 x 1080 resolution display. It is a 16:9 60Hz display with 250 nits of brightness.

The display is anti-glare coated and has a 45% NTSC color gamut. The screen is a non-touch one which is to be expected at this price range.

Hardware and Connectivity

The laptop is available with Ryzen 3 7320U and Ryzen 5 7520U processors. Both are 15W TDP (Thermal Design Power) quad-core processors with similar performance. The biggest difference is that the 7520U has a higher turbo boost frequency of 4.3GHz compared to 4.1GHz on the 7320U, resulting in slightly better performance overall.

The laptop has a selection of ports, including 2x Type-A ports, 1x Type-C port, 1x HDMI 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. As usual, there is no Ethernet port which might be an issue for some users. The laptop also features Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.

The Vivobook Go comes with a 3-cell 42Wh battery. The laptop supports fast charging and Asus claims a 60% charge in 49 mins when the system is off or in standby mode.
