Lava Slashes Prices of its Three Smartphones!

Lava smartphones were a pretty popular deal in Nepal some time ago. But giant companies like Huawei and Xiaomi have nearly obliterated the small players from the market.

Lava still makes smartphones if you guys didn’t know. And they have dropped a price in 3 of their phones. All of these phones have an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Lava Iris 88

Lava Iris 88 fits right into the description of a smartphone of 2018. It has the elongated 18:9 aspect ratio with thin bezels. Inside, the phone is powered by an entry-level MediaTek processor. Games are no go, but normal day to day tasks and apps like calls, and Facebook will run pretty smoothly considering you aren’t downloading a large file in Chrome simultaneously. A 2GB  RAM is pretty normal at this price and it helps the phone run smoothly but it won’t be good enough for extensive multitasking.

They will click the photo you want but you’ll have to check how fast and how good. What’s great is that the phone comes with Android 8.1 out of the box which means you’ll get security updates and patches well into the future. The 16GB internal storage is typical in the price range.

Lava Iris 65

The price of Iris 65 is the main attraction for the Lava Iris 65. But that’s about the only thing that can intrigue people to buy this phone. While an HD resolution in a phone below 10K is not bad, 8GB storage is atrociously low in 2019. Also, the numbers on the cameras are not so great. CG OMEGA 6, which is priced similar to the Lava Iris 65, has a dual 12+2 MP cameras on the back. Also, its displays use IPS technology.

If you are looking for a no-frills phone that you want for just calling and texting, Lava Iris 65 might be worth taking a look. But, if you want to do something more, like use Facebook and YouTube, or Chrome, you should look at something that is more powerful than the Iris 65. Something with at least 2GB of RAM. Lava Iris 51

Lava Iris 51 is a typical budget smartphone. It has a decent 720p screen. It runs on a quad-core MediaTek processor that will cause you pain if you attempt to do anything more than calling and texting. Apps like Facebook and Youtube will run fine but multitasking is a dream with the measly 1GB RAM.

We don’t have much hope with the cameras either. They are adequate for a quick snap to remember a day but don’t expect exceptional photos here. I think that’s a good thing because the small 8GB storage won’t fill up fast. But 8 GB is the standard at this price range.

Android Go Cameras are not so great

So, these are the phones whose prices have dropped. This is expected because these handsets were getting old for 2019. Also, Lava is probably trying to make room for their A series and Z series that may come to Nepal in the future.

Anyways, these under 10K phones offer pretty sweet specs for the price. If you want something this cheap, you can check these phones out.
