CG Motors is set to add another Chinese brand to its distribution network.
CG Motors Pvt Ltd, one of Nepal’s automotive distributors, has partnered with JETOUR, a dynamic brand under the Chery Holding Group, to bring JETOUR products to the Nepali automotive market.
The formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Jetour and CG Motors was signed by Mr. Kevin Xu, Vice President of JETOUR International, and Mr. Hemant Agrawal, CEO/Director of CG Motors Pvt Ltd, in the presence of other key figures including Mr. Ke Chuandeng, Vice President of Jetour Auto, and Ms. Huamei Zhou, President of Hong Kong Meihua International Trade Co., Ltd.
JETOUR, a Chinese automotive brand under Chery Holding Group which a strong presence in Nepal through its subsidiaries, including Chery Automobiles, Omoda, and Jaecoo.
JETOUR is mostly known for its focus on producing crossovers and SUVs.
The brand has expanded to five continents, offering a diverse range of vehicles from ICE models to EVs and even Hybrids that are designed to meet the evolving needs of global markets.
Since its inception in 2018, JETOUR has achieved remarkable success. It became the fastest Chinese car brand to reach the milestone of 1.5 million units sold.
Moreover, JETOUR’s impressive portfolio includes the X90 series, X70 series, Dashing in its SUV offering, and the rugged off-roader, the T2. It is anticipated that JETOUR will first introduce an SUV for the Nepalese market.
Through this collaboration, CG Motors will accelerate its push into Nepal’s growing electric vehicle (EV) market, providing Nepali consumers with access to a range of vehicles that celebrates technology, fashion, and youthfulness.
CG Motors already represents a diverse lineup of brands, including Avatr, XPeng, Smart, GAC, Riddara, Neta, and Dayun. In addition, it distributes KYC and KingLong commercial EVs.
With the recent signing of an MOU between CG Motors and JETOUR, Nepal is set to welcome JETOUR vehicles soon.
While the official launch date remains unconfirmed, these vehicles are highly likely to hit Nepalese roads as early as the first quarter of 2025.
